If New York gets involved, then which ever team ends up with the bad contract (jared jeffries), will most likely get the picks or Hill.
Martin was a full-time starter on a lottery team, Wafer only played budinger type minutes, plus we still had Yao as the focal point at the time.
I think when people register for a name they should have a watch a 5 min video of DD and Swoly explaining the rules of ettiquette on thread creating, posting, etc. Then have to take 5 question quiz written by Tinman and Clutch, before they can be an official registered member.
Kings take Jeffries, and get the picks, and we contribute Sergio, and get Hill. (with expirings reconfigured) Everyone's happy.
Do we need 20 "Trade T_Mac" threads? NO!!! But this thread centers on one aspect of this significant transaction for this organization. As for your suggestion...don't be<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/C3njjD41f48&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/C3njjD41f48&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> such a wienie!!!!
Nobody believes this but D. Morey is targeting C. Bosh... 3 out of the 4 incoming players expire after this season.. ++++ we have about 3 players coming off the books as well. Chris Bosh will become a Rocket this Off-Season! Starting Lineup Yao Ming Chris Bosh Shane Battier Kevin Martin Aaron Brooks 6th Man Ariza (God I hope he gets traded somehow) I will also predict that if Scola doesn't agree to a friendly contract that he will be gone in a sign and trade (or multiple team trade) for Bosh.
If it was a threeway, this is probably what would happen. It wouldn't make sense for the knicks to give us all that they offered before because Sacramento is the one that takes on the contracts.
That deal makes absolutely no sense for Sacramento. Why would they take on Hughes and Jeffries to GIVE Houston picks and Hill? You guys are hoping for too much.
The knicks aren't giving us all that. Sacto's getting the picks, and we're getting Jordan Hill, while giving them Sergio Rodriguez, who they have already expressed previous interest in.
Morey didn't get K MART- he still plays for Denver, he got us Speedy Kevin Martin from the KIngs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IMO, this trade was a handshake deal made to get either NY or Chicago to get in on a 3 way deal. Trading T-mac, Landry, Dorsey & cash to the Kings was way too much just for Martin. Remember, we were getting Hill, Hughes & Jefferies plus a right to swap the Knick's 2011 pick & also picking up their 2012 pick for T-mac & a filler. Morey would not give that up or let the Kings benefit for his prize asset (T-Mac's 23 ml expiring contract). Think of us doing the NY deal first and then trading Landry for Martin. Morey found a way to also ship Jefferies bad contract to the Kings, probably costing him the 2012 NY pick, but we still get Hill & the right to swap 2011 picks. The Kings basically traded Martin for Landry, Hughes (expiring), Jefferies (bad contract), cash & NY's 2012 first round pick. If Morey does keep that 2012 pick, he is more than a genius. The beauty of this deal is that we are still in next year's free agency hunt.
Been doing this for a while. I think I know the difference. Thanks for your concern. Your 're a wienie too...sorry I left you out....didn't think you'd get jealous. Better yet you're probably more of "tool" material. Tell ya what Tool, "after the trade deadline," why don't you and Wienie, meet at "Toyota Center" to "discuss what contitutes" the two of you being relevant. "Good Day!"
Also, if NY doesn't do the 3 way, we go after Chicago. T-Mac ends up with the Bulls, Kings get Miller & Hinrich and we get Thomas. Remember, one of the earlier rumors was Miller, Thomas & Hinrich or Salmons for T-Mac. We didn't want any part of those bad contracts (Hinrich & Salmons), but the Kings can afford to take on Hinrich, who is a very good player. Kings end up getting Landry, Miller, Hinrich & cash for Martin and fillers. Bulls get T-Mac for Miller, Thomas & Hinrich (a contract they wanted to get rid of & I could see Rodriguez being thrown in to help them at point guard. Rockets get Martin, the wing scorer they deperately needed and also gets an athletic big (Thomas) for T-Mac, Landry, cash & fillers. I actually prefer this deal because Thomas is a little ahead of Hill and I love his athletic weak-side defensive help he would bring to our team. We need someone who can protect the rim.
I don't know how some people can be so in love with Brooks but yet hate Martin. Brooks' defense as just as bad as Martin's. Martin is a better shooter than Brooks and is taller. All you guys complain about having Ariza at the SG spot and now that the Rockets have acquired an actual SG that happens to be very good, you guys are still complaining. Landry was a back up PF who is not much better than Scola. We did not have a SG guard people and now we do. The bench isn't weaker because you're going to have either Battier or Ariza coming off the bench now.
