Hmmm, let's see...Most everyone here is enough of a die hard Rocket fan that they spend waaayy too much time on an internet BBS in the middle of summer just to talk about one NBA team.

Naah, nothing biased about these people...

    vtkp99.....

Your saying Vince cries more tha stevie franchise?!

Your way off bro, yes Vince cries about getting fouled all the time-but a so-so player named Karl Malone does too. I'm talking about off the court crying. Steve never stops his little rants about things. He's a little girl when it comes to his behaviour.

Sorry everyone else!! but i had to say that about Franchise, the guy is taking shots at my boy Vince.

See i ain't biased, i had the gutz to admit he(Vince) cries on the floor ALOT!

Let's see you guys come up with something negative about steve, cause you can't. That's because your blind biased fans. Well not all of you.:D

Good call, JuanValdez... I remember thinking the same thing when I read about the contract stipulations in the Chronicle. I would love to find out what they were!

VinceCarter, the only think fishy around here is you. Take a shower.

VC...nobody is saying Steve is perfect,on or off the court. Most of us were indeed confused and perhaps concerned after last season when he:
    1. seemingly kept putting off the Mayo trip, and
    2. discounted Yao before checking into him(it might've helped if the team would've clued him in sooner).

But he also took some severe beatings here over this stuff from some posters. And now that he's on board with the medical stuff the team wanted and the Yao issue,he still gets bashed.

That's why you're getting the heat over this. We're not saying he's perfect. We're saying bash the guy for something worthwhile if he deserves it. But you're bashing(questioning) the guy for correcting something he got bashed for previously. It's like you've got him under a microscope looking for any LITTLE thing to question him over. Other than DRob,no player's gonna pass your off the court scrutiny. Ease up. Enjoy the season.

    Vince, ok, how about this?

Steve can't shoot with his left. He thinks the dunk is worth more
than a pull-up jumper. He can't finger roll with his left hand. He never
uses the cross-over on fast break, instead he keeps the ball in his right hand.
He doesn't use the cross-over on drives, he dribbles between his legs (and
off his foot). He always slaps the back board after every dunk like he just
won the championship (celebrating before the fat lady has sung), he doesn't
play very good defense ....etc. I can be critical with the best of them...

Your post was about Steve's motives regarding his contract.
I don't care what his motives were. As long as he performs on the
court is all that matters. Ultimately that's how all players will be judged.

So forget about the "conspiracy theory." The season hasn't even started yet.
Give Steve a chance to prove himself this season.
