You seem to know a lot about these kind of stuff, why do you think out of all the people he knows he choice to contact me? I have a feeling of why he might contact me but I hope to god I'm wrong.
Wait I don't get it. So he knocks on your door to hang out and he leaves for a while. You call his number and his mom picks up saying he's been dead for 4 months? Was this a dream? Can someone explain it to me if I got this wrong?
I don't think people are anymore sensitive to things of this nature...it seems like the people that 'want' to experience things like this just happen to more than those that don't. There have been so many challenges and such regarding mediums, psychics, and spiritualists and all of them fail miserably when asked to demonstrate their 'powers'...if any of these things were real I think in the past 100 years or so there should've been at least 1 solid bit of proof, but as it is...nothing. It seems like believing in ghosts is also believing in our own 'eternal-ness'...which veers into the religious direction and that's one direction I'm going to avoid in the hangout.
Whats your theory? Sometimes spirits show up to people by what stuff the other person had.. For instance like if you had some of his stuff like, clothes, shoes, etc.

I don't know anything about this kind of stuff actually. I just accept the fact that it could possibly be real. I have my own theories and stuff, but that involves faith and religion that I don't really want to get into on the bbs.

I was 17yo. I had a dream where my dad came to tell me goodbye, that he couldn't stay, and that he loved me. The next morning, I got the phone call that he had passed away.
Like I said, I'm not saying I believe the OP, just what the theory is. And FWIW, I do believe in spirits/ghosts due to my own experiences, like what I wrote in my previous post.
You should call the Vatican, and order an exorcism. They're running a 2 for 1 special right up to Halloween.
