Someone's idea for a Rockets uniform I found on the net...

    Sorry but I wouldn't be found dead in the uniforms originally posted at the start of this thread. Both Rocketeer's idea's are exactly what I want, either of them! I would be seen in those jerseys! :)

    I just want the old colors back. :(

    The red and gold were the colors of the engine of the rocket - the rocket's red glare. Furthermore, they provided a unique personality. The closest thing I can think of is the @ss ugly green and gold signature scheme of the Green Bay Packers. Though that may be about the nastiest color scheme in all of professional sports, I'd put the Packers at the bottom of the list of teams that need to change uni's in the NFL. They are so nasty that they're cool. Ugliness in sports is timeless.

    I blame the ******* Charolete Hornets and their nasty Alexander Julian designer uniforms for the downfall of sports UNI's. What the hell were they thinking?

    All men that have fashion sense are gay but not all gay men have fashion sense. Kinda like all squares are rectangles but not rectangles are squares. Thats why I let my wife pick out most of my clothes. That way, I atleast have some chance of getting some play. :D

    hey guys these are my creations. i went with red cuz i wanted that nostalgia feel and b/c red is a nice color for a jersey. the deep red gives it a good look. i went w/ gray b/c rockets give off smoke..smoke is gray. this is just preliminary sketchings i'll try to come up w/ better lettering and designs later. flame if you want :D

    I don't know why, but steddinotayto's jersey reminds me of the Comets' uniform for some reason.

    I really like those red and gray unis. I'm not picky as long as we go back to red as the predominate color. I've heard some say that red isn't marketable, but the Bulls sold gobs of jersies in the 80's and 90's. As much as I hate them, Manchester United are arguably the most popular franchise in all of sports and they use red.

    I hadn't heard the old unis compared to McDonalds or Hulkamania before, that's funny. Whatcha gonna do brother, when Moochie Norris runs wild on you?

    i'm with you...win (or be interesting) and your crap will sell. The St. Louis Cardinals have NO trouble selling merchandise...and, as you pointed out, neither did the Bulls.

    There have been many other teams that basically kept their same colors other than the celtics,lakers and Knicks. Chicago,San Antonio,Portland,GS,Atlanta,Indiana have kept their colors for a long time. About red not being marketable, since when has Green and WHite(celtics) been marketable. I think if we start winning, people will start buying the merchadise. Besides screw whats in, Lets keep tradition.

    I had to make it myself because no one else had done the idea of both "Houston" and "Rockets" on the same jersey. Hope you like....
