Hotto - they look phat, very sharp and up-to-date, the picture of the rocket on the logo should be removed.

JayZ - Look like uniforms made for Mcdonalds.

George Postolos hinted on KILT this morning that we would NOT be returning to the old colors or concepts. He said, "We need a new identity. These are not Hakeem or Charles or Clyde's Rockets. There are Steve and Cuttino and Eddie and Mo Taylor's Rockets."

He went on to say that we needed something that represented that.

The uni's in this thread aren't really all that different from the old one's and we definitely won't see a return of the old logo. I still like roceteer's the best so far.

So. McDonald's has been one of the most successful companies in history. As have their colors.

But, I do see what y'all are saying. I still like them, though, and wouldn't mind seeing the same style with other colors. I, for one, really like the stripes on the side. They are unique and look just as good as the long verticle stripe most teams have, I think.

I like Rocketeer's too, of course. The main thing about Rocketeer's that irks me, though, is that they don't seem like they'll last. They are soooo much better than the current crappy uniforms, but they don't have that Celtics/Lakers feel to it. Not that we could ever get there, but we could get close.

You know, with as much bad mouthing as the Rockets current uniforms get from the fans, the media, and even loud complaining by some players (on the team and not), I wonder if the guy/woman who designed them has killed him/herself by now...

Might as well leave the jerseys the way they are.

I remember hearing that Les's wife had a part in the design of our jammies.
    --
Whenever they released the info that they were changing the unis, they interviewed several Rockets, and Cuttino said we needed to get back to the red and gold, so there. :p
    --
    Jeff --
About those Astro's unis, yeah they may have been ugly, but they were popular for some reason. I remember every little league I ever saw had some variation on them.
    --
Although I would love a change to the old unis, that's not really what I'm for. I just want to go back to our old colors, not necessarily the same log. And put a star on there somewhere! We can't be the only pro team in Texas NOT to have a star on their uniforms.

I like those McDonalds unis. They have a touch of the good ole days, but don't seem like they'd get outdated fast. Nice.

Don't know about the yellow ones though. Too much like the lakers.

A beer, a cat, a boxing glove and a joint on the jersey.

Hell yeah! What a relief. I swear some of you guys' tastes in colors and clothing must border on an LSD trip. :D

Get rid of the heinous Red and Gold... that stuff went out with the 80's. Pimp colors are not good. This is the 21st century. Clean-looking blues, whites, etc. please!

    I WANT THE MAVS' UNIFORMS!

... they can keep the players, names, and that stupid mascot

The Rocket's Steve Francis looks for an open teammate Wednesday night during the Rocket's 103-99 victory over the Lakers in Game 6. The win puts Houston in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1995. REUTERS/Bill Reilly

No offense to Rocketeer's designs, but those red jerseys don't look unique. They remind me of the clippers. The retro style ones are nice.

Also that's stupid to say that they want a new identity. It's the same team, how about some tradition.

that's regrettable, although not too surprising [also kind of funny seeing as how Charles never once wore the red-and-gold]. Les seems like a very trendy guy, not so much a tradition-type guy.

I personally would prefer it if the Rockets' jerseys reflected the tradition of the team, specifically the 4 NBA finals we went to in the red-and-gold. I even think the majority of Rockets' fans might agree, although that's debatable. so many of the younger fans really only started following the team when they won in '95, and the pajamas followed shortly thereafter.

I'm not looking forward to the debates on the board about what the uniforms should look like, but anything will be better than what they have.

I even think that, if the Rockets literally were wearing McDonald's uniforms, that would be better than what we have.

Is there any way someone can create an image of Steve with the retro-like jersey on?

I could stand going back to the old colors, so long as we dont have that stupid logo. The logo needs to be updated big time.

The orange and red basketball is about as original as sliced bread. I hate that old logo! I want something that relates to a rocket at the very least.

i really don't like that remark from Postolos...ultimately these aren't Steve and Cuttino's Rockets!! these are OUR Rockets!!! players come and go all the time.

i guess they aren't Larry Bird's Celtics anymore...but the current players still wear the same unis. They're not Ruth's Yankees anymore...but Jeter still wears pinstripes. They're not Magic's Lakers...but Kobe still wears gold and purple.

I would like the Rockets to be considered among those teams...not teams that switch out uniforms constantly. A little consistency would be nice.

Those uniforms are ugly, what the hell's with the rectangles?

They remind me too much of the 49ers...

I prefer the dark Rocketeer uniform not posted in this thread...

I actually like both of Rocketeer's previous uni ideas. (before the "Comets" uniform)

I think we should have 2 away uniforms, one with red and the other with blue...

    Old school style, not Nike...

    Rockeeter's uniform is OK...BUT

the lettering/font really needs to change to blockstyle lettering with ROCKETS for homegames and HOUSTON for away.

the font on that jersey picutured is too cartoonish.

I'd rather go with the vintage look though.
