A totally diffrent story, Stephen Marbury is an huge idol in China right now, on and off court. Marbury leads Beijing Ducks to a lot of wins, he plays hard, helps young teamates, takes subway to Stadium, does a lot of charity stuff in Beijing, and he is the most popular columist on China Daily, his Weibo (Chinese twitter) has more followers than Yaoming. A while ago, New York Times did a whol page on Stephen Marbury's change in China.

Ironically, SF3 was Beijing Ducks' first Choice a couple of years ago and they gave him a good contract. But Steve didn't show up for practice, threatened Coach for playing time...then got cut.
