"He is going to be a great, great, great player in this league," Rivers said. "He can do so many things. I'm jealous because Houston gets so many great centers. When are we going to get one?"
Gosh Doc.....didn't you guys have Shaq? I guess the real question is when are you goint to KEEP one. DD
Go get the coaching job of the Fakers. They are good at stealing the great centers from otehr teams. Rockets watch out!
I agree.... Whats even more interesting or fitting is that when Shaq is done in 3 years, so will Yao's contract. Yao will also be 25-26 and near his prime. We will have to do everything we can to keep him here.
Hehe.. if I were Doc I'd be jealous of any team... cause anybody is better than that drug bloated corpse they call Shawn Kemp..
Unless things go real sour for some odd reason, I don't think the Rockets will have a hard time keeping Ming. He is much like my namesake, I believe he'll want to stay loyal and won't seriously entertain many offers. Thats just my assumption from what I know of Yao. Stuart
Dream or no Dream it didn't really matter. Shaq's set his sight on the Hollywood of LA from day one. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/spor...07040703apr07,0,3065396.column?coll=orl-magic April 7, 1992: Orlando begins buzzing about a statement from Louisiana State center Shaquille O'Neal, the projected No. 1 pick in the NBA draft. A day earlier the 20-year-old O'Neal suggested that he wanted to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. You know the rest of the story.
oh i thought shaq only got to LA b/c jerry west is a genius and knew shaq was good when everyone else didn't and decided to go out and get him on a hunch. man west was good. then he even convinced charlotte that kobe wasn't good and made them trade w/o any pressure from kobe to go to la.
He made many a child...I think it was like 15 or something... Don't mess with Kemp, man I still have my black, white and green Kemp bball shoes...I'm old school...
