Not sure what any of that has to do with it. If you had to live the way he lived for the past decade knowing you'd get 1 million, would you?
First reunion with mom. It is very touching. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/J-iMReUSfkg?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/J-iMReUSfkg?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
She sort of has the same complexion and hair as the actress who played the wife in Jungle Fever and the mom in He Got Game and I believe she is mixed. The mom may be mixed.
A lot of these folks are just capitalizing on the internet buzz.....but the Cavs offer and the NFL seem legit. Hollywood can not be far behind. DD
The mom is so awesome. "I don't have no glasses, as you can well see, and these are the only clothes I own." "Please get something else." Awesome story. I have full faith that we're going to hear a lot of him in the coming years. Good stories don't come out of the internet too often, and hardly ever go viral like this.
Very touching video with his mom...but at the same time it seems as if she has some deep-seated resentment for him based on the way he was living his life. Hopefully that can be fully reconciled as they spend more time together.
This shows how damaging drugs and alcohol are. Anyone can someday pick up sign and beg for money on the streets.
I don't think everybody wants to get off the streets. Many people that are homeless are hardworking people and get on the streets and off. Then, there are the career homeless that can stay out there for nearly 20 years like Ted. They usually are addicted to drugs and alcohol. Until the career homeless decide to go clean and lift themselves out of the bottom, they will not change their live. Ted was clean for 2 years. If Ted had been trashed on drugs and laying out in his tent that day, he would have missed the interview with the Columbia Dispatch. I met one guy that was around 60-70 years old in Salavation Army. He would beg for money at the Galleria. He collected $50-100 a day begging, according to him. He was a dope smoker that wanted to get off the streets, so he went clean. He saved up the cash and bought a van to sleep in. He started doing drugs again, sold the van, and went back to the streets. He would sleep at the Salvation Army, but he would not join their drug and alcohol program. He said he didn't want to go clean. It was a shame. He preferred the drugs over getting off the streets.
Yeah, it sounded as if he had probably disappointed her so many times before that she wasn't sure if she wanted to believe it all. Good for him though. I hope he gets a nice job and prospers.
Not true. Guys with golden voices have made a killing. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EwTZ2xpQwpA?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/EwTZ2xpQwpA?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
