In three years he'll no doubt leave for the Miami Heat in a television special narrated by...himself.
BTW, it goes to show if you present yourself in a well spoken, professional manner it can make a world of difference. He had trouble maintaining his physical appearance but his manners and demeanor shined through.
Hmm. The article says he is 71, but he clearly states he is 53 on the Early show clip. I'd bet he is 53.
Great story, shows you how far the world has come today with the use of Youtube and viral marketing. Only a little time back this guy would have probably never landed a job and stayed homeless. But in this day of technology and rapid moving information which a day he gets a new life. Good for him and really crazy in general how lives are really changed by technology at the end of it all.
Great, incredible story. I just hope he has the support system in case to stay sober. Most people think that since he knows what it's like to fall on hard times, there's no way he could get back to drugs and alcohol, but that is rarely the case. This is a great start, but there's a long way to go!
Just watch the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to lose out on this guy too! New headlines: Cleveland Cavaliers are unable to retain even a homeless guy..
I agree, but one thing to note, I think a lot of homeless people have mental issues in addition to drug and alcohol addiction. This guy obviously has it together. I think that helps a lot in him sounding well spoken and professional.
Great story, and I'm happy for the guy. Great to see the power of social networks and viral video work for good.
