Why don't you start another thread so you can pontificate on suicide while the rest of us pay our respects to the young man this thread is about.
This. In fact, sometimes it's against your religion not to pray. Though you are not required to tell anyone that you are doing it. In this case, it means you care about those whose beliefs are different from yours, and ask God to help those people as well. (For those of you who do not believe, you may think it is a waste of time, but I don't see why it would be particularly harmful.)
so like bobrek posted before: if someone is muslim or jew, etc and dies, I cant pray to the catholic God, because that would not honor the deceased, because he wants to be saved by another god, or doesnt want to be saved at all?
Does that have to be displayed for the public to see or is that something that could be taken care of privately?
RIP LL I haven't been on here much lately and this has been shocking and painful. As a narcissist who is terrified of rejection, I'd be in a similar state if I were in his shoes in the past few months. I hope/pray/wish he finds the peace he was looking for.
All fundamentally the same God. The God of Elohim, as the Jews refer to him as, is the father of Christ, whom the Catholics/Prots worship, who is considered one of the main prophets of Allah under the Islamic cannon. Just different coats of paint, some without proper primer of course. Off to the D&D it seems!
I'm aware that this is an open board, a board to post your thoughts and feelings for other people to give out counter or for opinions. Honestly, I don't mind controversial posts. To each their own right? Not in this thread, save it, LL is gone forever just to think about him never posting anything on any computer again. To never walk a step more on this earth is completely mind boggling. Clutch made this thread to pay tribute, re-live past memories about him, to share the grief so we could get through this tragedy a little easier. Yet even then we have people drifting slowly but steadily into other topics. So if you believe your post is going to create controversy, don't be selfish, share it in another instance. Some things are better left unsaid, especially in a thread like this, created for tribute, not debate.
There's no reason for this thread to go in this direction. The whole point of my post was to raise awareness about who he was and what happened to him, and perhaps that could give people some perspective on how he might want to be remembered/honored. Once people know those things, they can proceed however they choose. There really isn't anything to argue over.
RIP, Brother. Sorry, I didn't read the entire thread but has anyone looked into setting up some kind of donation for his family? I really don't care what religion/race/nationality/sex/sexual orientation any of you guys are. All I know is we share one common bond and no matter what kind of stupid arguments we get into, in the end we are looking for the same thing. I'm a long time troll and haven't posted too much in the past but will contribute more to the board from now on. Clutchfans IS my home. The best fan site ever. One love.

I find it MORE INSULTING when a person you tries to put a voodoo religious prayer on someone who doesn't believe or have any belief in that Faith.
Please, take your petty platform argument anywhere but the memorial thread. <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/nwuazUXiE1o" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
My thoughts are with you and your family. = I will pray for you and your family. I, personally, make no distinction.
I agree, somebody died and we should leave our internet persona and rivalries out of this thread. This incident still shocks me reminding us how hard life is outside the bbs.
