Honestly I'd take Monroe over current Bosh. Better defender, and better rebounder.

No you're right. He'd be a TERRIBLE fit. He doesn't play a lick of defense and all of his offense comes from the post where Dwight operates. He's a skilled big man to run the offense through at times, but will render Dwight pretty ineffective on offense.

If we're taking Ilyasova, we should move for Brandon Knight too who really showed out in Milwaukee this year and is only 22. (Grew a lot this year being the main shot-taker, but wouldn't have to have that responsibility here and could improve percentages) We could throw NOP pick in there + Dmo and get it done. We improve PG and PF in one trade, with plenty of room for organic growth. From that article:

They arent gonna gimp the team with parsons contract especially with player option in 3rd year. Listen to moreys interview he clearly explains the problems that would arise if they signed parson.

TPE is only 8.5. Ilyasova only makes 8, that would be a waste of a pick. In fact we should garner a 2rnder and cash. Buck are done with him, I don't think they're looking for A haul to get him out of town

By the way, I don't see where Amick tweeted about any of this.

Good post. Agree with everything you said. If Lin and his $8.3 cap hit/$15 payday cost a pick in the mid-20s, Ilyasova should cost us no more to unload.

I very much view this as a low risk/high reward type move. If it works out and he returns to form, then you've got a valuable trade asset, both for the salary we can leverage up to take back greater salary (can't do that with a TPE) and for his ability as a player on a very favorable contract.

If you can get an asset (protected pick) with him for just your TPE, I say you do it.

Not only does it make us better and is a buy-low situation, it also gives us a higher salary player to us for salary matching if we end up moving for a 3rd star, which Morey still wants to do. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this deal gets done.

Yeah. I don't see why you don't do this unless there's a better opportunity out there.

Houston Out: Lin TPE, 2nd round pick
Houston In: Ilyasova, Top 10 Protected 1st

Wait, am I missing something? Do the Bucks need to desperately move Ersan's contract or something to the point where they need to not only get barely any assets back, but also give UP a protected first???

Their front court is crowded. Sanders, Ilyasova, Parker, Henson, and Puchilia. Ilyasova isn't an expiring, he's coming off an injury riddled season, and his shooting numbers nosedived. It's definitely a risk. ASSUMING the bucks are motivated to move him, then it's going to cost more than a 2nd.

Rockets don't have a stretch 4 on the roster. They really should be all over this. Look at how much money McBob, Frye and Patterson just signed for this offseason. This isn't a bad contract. This guy had a down year, but some people are acting like he is some scrub. He shot over 44% from three 2 years in a row and rebounds. He could be a sniper here with all the wide open looks he would get from Howard and Harden.

I'm on the Ilyasova bandwagon. Ultimate buy low move
