Excellent pics. They remind me of my trip there back in 1989 when I was 15. Question rockit, did you have a voltage converter of some sort for your camera or does your camera take AAs? Reason being, I'm leaving for China in 3 weeks and I haven't figured out the camera situation.
Hehe ... yeah, I guess you could say that about Kenya ... I wouldn't wanna take any credit for the natural abudance of beauty there. Every scene is picturesque. This trip was my reward for earlier screwings Umm ... the topless pics ... well, u know ... my camera wasn't really working very well then ... all sortsa blurry shots and what not ... didn't wanna bore anyone GregM ... I just took 2-3 of the Li batteries that come with the camera, and surprisingly, I survived on only 1 battery, and even that has tons of juice left in it. And once again, thank you all for taking the time to go thru them ... it's one of those things where I really wanted to share the experience with everyone, and this seems to be the best way to do it. THANKS!
KingCheetah, Are you a colorist? I might need one in a few months. Let me know if you are interested: dongrahamleone@yahoo.com (It's for a documentary) -Andy
I am not King Cheetah, but where are you located? If King Cheetah isn't one, or you need it done for your documentary in Los Angeles, let me know. I know a few of them, and would be more than happy to get you in touch with them. If you would like me to, e-mail me through the board and I will see what I can do. If you already have it colored, LA won't work, and/or King Cheetah has you covered, no problem. I will help out film makers anyway I possibly can.
Awsome stuff Rockit. Should have jumped next door into Tanzania. The Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater are amazingly beautiful, as well as Mt Kilimanjaro.
I thought that was funny for some reason. I'm not a colorist so fire Don your info. __________ obvious
I appreciate your offer. I think that this can be done from anywhere so LA should not be a problem(I'm in Austin). I might try to get in touch with you when the time is right. I am not to that point yet because I am only in the script phase, but cool man, I'll let you know what's going on. I don't really know how to email through the board and the email address I have that is associated with this website is not one I check anymore. You sound like a good contact.
Thanks ~ To be honest I really know very little (nothing) about what a colorist actually does or the equipment/ software they use.
Well, you definitely have an eye for it. I might bug you some more if I get the means to get a colorist.
Nice pictures. One thing though and I've seen this quite a bit ... people taking beautiful pictures of the scenery, animals, but they rarely have themselves in them. With apology to Rockit (and you may have kept your personal pictures private), as a suggestion for others, ... if I want to look at beautiful pictures, I can look them up in Natl. Geo. or many other places ... if I want to make a memory, no one but me would have the pictures of myself, friends and family in front of those waterfalls, or in the foreground with those lions behind me ... Those pictures would be priceless to me.
Please do - if nothing else i'd be interested to hear what it was all about. I've been doing some work for a friend of mine who is making a short film and it's been a fun so far.
Will you email me so I might be able to contact you without starting a thread? I don't know how to email through clutch and I don't have the ability to check the email that my clutch account is with anyway. -My email is on an earlier post. I'd appreciate it.
