Team sources have told FOXSports.com that Bush had a conference call with head coach Sean Payton, GM Mickey Loomis and other team executives in which they informed him that they will select him with the second pick of the draft. In fact, late last night Payton even began redesigning his offense to center on Bush and Pro Bowl running back Deuce McAllister. Several rumors have stated that the Jets and other teams are near a deal with the Saints, but those rumors are untrue and team sources say the only way they would make a trade is if it were a "blockbuster" and rivaled deals of the Herschel Walker and Rickey Williams variety. Last night QB Drew Brees also got on the phone with Bush. Hey D - I have enjoyed owning your signature the past few months but feel the need to relinquish it back to you. It has been a priviledge but it makes me look smug. I didn't WANT the Texans to suck...I just knew they would. This year looks much brighter. They are going to have a significantly better season and we will all be along for the ride! When I say significantly, I mean SIGNIFICANTLY. We are talking a bout a team that could possible DOUBLE their wins next year. I still need to see how the rest of the offseason goes, keep an eye on injuries and the development of their young and durable quarterback...(is he still "young"?)...but I am setting the bar at 4. A tremendous improvement over last year's embarrassing season.
It's cool swilkins. Like you've said, I've moved past this just like seemingly everyone else. I'm more concerned about our team. Regardless, this is funny because the guy who posted this was claiming that CC had basically nothing to do with this pick.
It's easy to move on when you were wrong. I just didn't appreciate someone basically telling me I don't know s%$t and then at the end of the day my line about there being 'alot of misinformation in this thread' was correct. If you think CC's role in this draft and entire off-season has been the same as years prior, you would be wrong. That is my last post on that topic, I just really didn't like someone totally belittling me that I am just uninformed. Nothing personal, but I do think that was disrespectful. Chance, we are going to quadruple our win total from last year!!!
Let me be the first, to explain the situation. KAS13 got pwned, by his own misinformation. Now he wants to move on he didn't get pwned. And Dskillz has shown that he is the chosen one. *this is what happens when you're bored and the other forum you visit is down.
