Well. The bozo did it. I had a hard time looking. http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2008/07/the_great_desecration.php
I sent the guy an email: Your use of the scientific method seems to be lacking for a science professor. Hypothesis: ? Desecrating the Eucharist will make Catholic's upset? Desecrating the Eucharist will prove that it's just a cracker? Or, what seems most likely, desecrating the Eucharist will give me my 15 minutes of fame? Which is it? Option A is not much of a hypothesis, you dump on someone's beliefs they are likely to get angry and some will overreact. That doesn't make it right on our part, nor does it prove much scientifically. Option B, the Church already says that desecrating the Eucharist does nothing to prove or disprove its truth. So it's not like you are doing much in the way of scientific method there to prove its just a cracker when the Church already says nothing's going to happen to it. If you have a problem with the doctrine take it on reasonably with arguments and reason rather than vulgarity. So that leaves us with Option C, you just want your 15 minutes of fame. Unless of course, there was an Option D, you were just wanting to be mean and hateful towards those who are spiritual's beliefs. But oh no, not you oh wise and kind man of science. That could never be you. Respectfully, twhy77 PS. You'd never dare to post this one on your website.
