Damn i was hoping to see if your source knows if the rox are considering Milsap or might of speaken of his avaliability.
so the only possibility is to get third or maybe fourth team involved? Cap will never be an issue when you have a chance on Durant.
LUXURY TAX will never be an issue, but CAP will always be an issue. You can't pursue him in free agency without enough free cap space. And things like Cap space or where you are in relation to the Apron will affect things like salary matching and trade restrictions.
yes it his wife didn't die & camby was healthy to play backup center the trade would have already been done
Morey may want more than just Green in this deal a draft to use or trade or someone willing to take Lins contract for an expiring contract. Ideally they would want Rondo in this deal but not sure if they are willing to give up the pieces it would take. Think about this as well a Lin for Kris H. frees up some money for the future and still have Beverly and Brooks.
Wow thanks for some really insightful information. I feel that part of why Asik and Bev have won the starting line up position is to increase their trade value. Asik/Bev combo could fetch some really really massive names. I think it would be sacrificng a lot, but Asik and Bev probably get traded together for a huge player AND more.
If I worked for the team and read this thread I could probably find out who you were, just sayin'. Mystery, intrigue. Thats what sells. Besides that thanks for the scoop, all for free and at your risk. You're a stand up guy. Crazy, but I feel like Durant is not a complete pipe dream, and that kinda gives me butterflies.
i can't imagine the Rockets suggesting a uniform design so out of left field that Adidas doesn't want to agree. I mean how much does/should say does Adidas have in the first place????
Yeah hold off on the Anderson trade until you see what guys like Casspi can bring. No need giving up Asik for a stretch 4 that doesn't play D against big power forwards anyways when you already have something similar potentially.
Sounds like positioning by Portland. They only control LMA through the 2014-2015 trade deadline....then he's a free agent in 2015. Right now they are at best the #7 team in the western conference (by LMAs own admission), and I don't see how they make the necessary moves to improve that. Assuming the OP is legit, this may open a window to how the Rockets will handle Parsons. I've thought for a while now that the cap room they may have in 2015 was too tantalizing to pass up. If the Rockets dont allow Parsons to become a RFA next year and they don't use their MLE, then we (and everyone in the league) will know what's up.
Chicago trumps us, that's about it, they've got that Charlotte draft pick, and Mirotic who the entire league seems high on even if it's shaky that he comes for a rebuilding team. However i think Chicago have Aldridge third behind Love and Horford on their wishlist.
what I don't like about the Anderson trade is that it may or may not make us a better team, but will DEFINITELY make the Pellies better. They've been pretty good in the preseason, but lack size. Given that they are in our div and we play them 4x, why help them so much?
So, do you guys think that the Gortat trade sets the market for Asik's trade value? I think Asik is a significantly better player but NBA teams may not agree. I got the sense their market value might be similar.
What about waiting until after the season and trading Asik for a high 1st round pick? We're going to need production from players on rookie deals.
