Yao needs to be more mentally prepared. Skill wise, he is right up there. Mentally, he is not. I dont like he waves off and park at high post, letting other guys do their things. Some one please teach him what "suck it up" means.
Goverment dont control gossip news, and that's pretty much what can be freely published over in China these days. The freelance newspaper Nanfang Daily was investigated numerous times, chief editor was tossed out. Beijing tells you what to put in your paper. That's harsh reality. You cant really say the Media in particular is bad. The Media in China is generally twisted. If that NY.Times guy making up stories is bad here, then you got tons of them in China right now. The reality is they can write nothing except for gossiping.
There will always be "some people" who waste time and resources with their endless attacks. And its always the same group of posters. Don't let them decide the quality of this online community. Post what you find valuable and let the "Clutch Crew" deal with the nonsense. You'll never really know how many people truly appreciate these translations because we don't post all day and don't feel the need to do the broken record routine with every post we disagree with. Could these Chinese reporters just be reporting information US reporters also know but don't report? How often have we heard about a player, coach and management "having problems" without explanation? Or how often have we heard about all the drama a player was causing with his former team after he gets traded? I just think about Charles Barkely and Kenny Smith and how, before anything became public, those guys constantly referenced (especially Charles) Eddie Griffin's problems without saying what those problems were.
IMO, many of the stuff in there could be true, some are expended version of Yao quotes. Some of the stuff, like that one I translated about the training session, you can't make it up if you try.
Once again, you really have to take all media outlets with a grain of salt. You might take news out of U.S. with a smaller grain, but a grain never the less. I think Denzel was right when he was reading a Newspaper and calling it b.s. but reading it for entertainment. I think the line in the movie Network describes it pretty well (though i don't remember it exactly) "if you are gonna be pimping information, might aswell do it right". Heck we know Chinese news is mostly rumors, but atleast it's fun to read.

it hard to believe that jeff has NO freinds on the team or staff. i know ewing and jax are his friends, and i know that he must be friends with his asistants. the reason he is at bars alone is to clear his mind of everything ta has to do with work.
