Yao seems to struggle when playing against some of the 6' 9" guys like Chris Webber and Ben Wallace. I think this is because they have more mobility. Also, when you're 7' 6" you don't focus on jumping high as much as someone who is 6' 9". I really hate to see those guys get rebounds that Yao should be getting. I would like very much if Yao would argue with the refs more and plead his case against the fouls they call on him. But this seems to be against his nature. as time goes by, T-Mac will build more faith in his players. But it's also important for him to get his shot going from the outside as well. We need both and outside and an inside presence, and should not want Yao to take every shot on his own. -- droxford
The one of all time best post I read, just can't stop laughing. Thanks a lot, clove. I wish I could read your observation after each game.
Ok, I feel kinda bad right now. I'll try a serious reply. Your english is not very good, but we know what you are talking about. All rebounds have some fortune involved. I personally think this has more to do with our defensive style. I find we routinely let the center/pf_who_has_no_shot have the shot at the top of the key. While funneling everyone else towards the basket and relying on rotational help. It looks like our players are getting beat, francis took a lot of heat for this last year. Ward and our forwards are taking the heat now. But it looks to me that this is our defensive scheme. Many of webber's made shots were leaning, off balanced shots that somehow went in. But they are not high percentage shots, at least not as high as a pull up or a spot up jumper, which I feel is the central philosophy to our defense. Can anyone with advanced basketball background confirm or deny my theory? This probably should be a thread of it's own. This is a case of overanalyzing the tape. I had my original reply because of this observation. same as above. Anyway, it's cool to know that you would go through all this trouble just trying to communicate with us. Keep posting, your english will improve in no time.
because people here are trying to cut you some slack since your posts are written in broken English, but if you are a guy making fun of Asians who speak poor english... then you are a twisted little puppy...
no different than speaking hillbilly, ebonic, rap, or cowboy talk. Just another dialect that we can all have fun with. We should all laugh at ourselves. Human beings are the funniest creation.
I agree with you up to a certain extent. But if all you did was talking trashy ebonics all the time, and making black people sound like Jim in Huck Finn, don't you think that is not very funny? I don't know, to me, there is a distinction. Once again, I am not accusing anyone, just that if...
I see it less about faith than about him finding when to get his shots. He has passed the ball willingly....so when it looks like he's ignoring Yao for a shot, IMO he's still trying to find his spots. Yao could average 30pts on 55%fg and we still would need TMac to take and make shots....
