To be precise, the pronunciation in Chinese should be "Mo Shou" right?

Few did call him Superman because he dressed up like one in ASG, which actually has been widely accepted in his image.

In honor of learning the new- to- me nicknames and of the New Year, I have written some haiku utilizing those names (and yes, I know haiku is Japanese in origin and not Chinese...I just happen to like the form of the thing).

These are mostly tongue in cheek, btw:

    "T" goes to Shy-town;
Little Black Bean shoots like mad
    Baman comes alive!

    He's bench energy-
God Bird or Bald Rooster Bird?
    No - Landry is Clutch

    or-

    god bird soars high again
    invincible seemingly
    injury can't stop

    Player tries a play
to make points for his home team
    Movie King sells it

    Ariza tries hard.
    Clank,clank,clank goes the blacksmith!
    Win in spite of him

    Trade deadline comes soon
    the managers call; teams deal.
    Morey wants long wang ;)

and lastly....this features no nicknames, just thought it was funny...

    The Mavericks suck.
Mark Cuban files a protest -
    Mavericks still suck.

I am a big rocket's fan from china, as most of the threads said, many Chinese not only love Yao, but also love the entire team! For me even yao is out for the entire season, I am still catch up with every Rocket's game, as many of my Chinese friends did.

Do not forget Dikembe Mutombo, he is very popular in China too because we think he represent passion and spirit! His nickname is Mu tong bo (Mu tong means wood barrel, and bo means your father's older brother) because of the pronunciation!

    Go Rockets!

Man! You notice how many posts there are here with broken English? I am wondering how many of you are actually writing from China? Do we have Clutchfans in China??? I am Chinese myself, but from Houston. Me and my Asian friends LOVE to watch and play basketball! Why do Chinese people love basketball so much (instead of soccer or baseball, etc.)??? Anyone???

Because soccer sucks, and no one out side of the US cares about baseball.

Because this thread is about Rox players' Chinese nicknames, so we need their expertise in the Chinese language. Read the thread before asking dumb questions plx.

Soccer is still the #1 sport in every country outside US, China is no exception, although their national team REALLY blows.

We Chinese love to watch soccer as well, they broadcast tons of matches live every weekend in China. however this is not the case for baseball. Not at all. I am big Yankees fan though  BTW, Astros sucks badly

Just so you know NBA has been broadcasting in China for more than 20 years, and basketball was big way before Yao got to the NBA. I think it is because the game is easy to understand and exciting? may be.

Btw, when talking about broken english, what do you mean by "how many posts there are here", do u actually mean there or here? and it should be "My friends and I" not "me and my fds".

A chinese rockets fan from NYC.
