Altuve sure did smoke the ball in his only AB (SF RBI)... it fooled Joe Buck off the bat (who was fooled quite a bit tonight... guess the ball doesn't travel as well in Minnesota).

This is why the MLB ASG is a complete disgrace.

Wainwright admits to throwing up softballs so Jeter can get a hit which ends up being a double leading to a 3 run 1st inning.

Wainwright just screwed his own league and whichever team makes the WS from the NL since now the AL has home field advantage.

Who couldn't love Jose? Such a great guy, incredible teammate and an amazing ball player. Glad he's locked up on the cheap through the 2019 season.

Altuve is a consummate professional, and I hope he retires an Astro.

    Gotta be the shoes!!

I thought his sac fly might go over the fence.. or at least over dude's head.
He fielded that grounder nicely too.
Glad he repped the Astros well.

He was also the first one to hug/fist bump Jeter in the dugout when he was pulled from the game.

Altuve was also featured in an article on Grantland (link) this week.

Side note on Altuve. He is apparently the first player to make the all star team in the NL and AL while playing on the same team.

I never realized how short Ken Rosenthal was until he was standing next to Altuve. They should get together with Tim Kurkjian. Turn it into a TV show.
