A few legal people will get caught up in this (Very few) and things will get figured out before they're deported. I haven't seen a report of a legal actually being deported.
No I haven't been down to the detention facilities, I also haven't read of a single case of a legal citizen being deported. Not saying there haven't been because mistakes get made. But it's very rare.
Like I said mistakes will be made, but they are few and far between. Her dreams shouldn't be shattered because she can always go back to school.
How many people were shot and/or killed in Chicago this weekend? What brass ring are they grabbing for? The ring that doesn't want illegals taking their jobs for low wages?
The Dems didn't follow the constitution when they lett 20 million illegals in and now you want to follow the constitution? This is nothing more or less than a correction of that illegal act,
Very attractive woman Dont care to hear her thought on this country. The rich, SMH. Like she matters.
Do you live in Chicago? Are you in these neighborhoods weekly or more often? I am - do you know what the people that live in these areas don't want? They don't want SNAP benefits cut by billions like the President of the USA has done, many of them are Veterans as well, and they don't want veteran benefits cut by billions, which the President has done. The overwhelming majority of these people do not like President Trump, do not agree with his policies and are concerned about his threats to send in the National Guard. Don't confuse Chicago residents being upset that Venezuelan's getting emergency housing with them supporting the deportation of tens of millions of people, and the policy aims of the current administration. If you would like to know what the average inner-city Chicagoan thinks of Donald Trump and MAGA morons, come and ask them. No, we needed and have needed immigration reform and both parties admitted as much. There are millions of people in the USA that came to the USA as children, or have been here for decades and they shouldn't be deported - but given a clear path towards citizenship if they have been productive members of society. Many of these people are also very patriotic. Right - or it could be that you are clueless. Lets play a game called: "Why is new housing expensive" Well we have labor costs--- but deporting tens of millions of people will do wonders for labor costs. Well we have raw building goods costs - those are going up and will only continue to go up with stupid tariffs. We have a lack of starter homes because of poor zoning rules. Let's blame illegal immigrants though..... even though there have been large levels of illegal immigrants in the USA for 40 years, lets blame them in 2025. Let's solve the issue by increasing labor costs, raw building material costs, cutting benefits and economic instability because of incompetent ham fisted tariffs..... that will surely solve the problem! I see the world through race? No, I am just honest and aware of history and the massive advantage I have as a white male. I don't When I fail at something I don't blame immigrants, minorities or women. Yes there is a shortage of homes - but in the USA 45,000,000 homes are rental homes - that is entirely too many, and has a massive part is why the cost of housing is what it is. The numbers are even worse for minorities, where home ownership is less than half. We have a lot of Baby Boomers dying - and we have some progressive cities making headway, Minnesota for example has solved a lot of the issues. Yet again though - economic instability, massive increases in the cost of raw goods because of stupid tariffs and labor shortages don't in ANY stretch of the imagination solve the issue. These illegals have been in this country in large numbers for literally generations. Also NO - they do not get federal Section 8 housing, that is simply false. There also hasn't been an increase in thirty million illegal immigrants that have been added into the USA recently. The total estimate of illegal immigrants living in the USA by reputable sources is 12-17 million total, and that number has ebbed and flowed some but has been overall within the same range. There were over 11 million illegal immigrants in the USA in 2020 - in 2024 the higher end estimates were 14 million. How many illegal aliens have there been in the past? It has fluctuated, but the number has been similar to now in the past -- in 2007 for example it was nearly 13 million. I don't give a **** about how Europe feels about immigrants. The USA is a vastly different country with a long history of immigrations and is largely a melting pot. The situations are not remotely similar. Further, no one of any real clout is claiming that the border should just be completely open - the issue is that people don't like having masked ICE officers roaming the streets and taking away people in white vans. People do not like seeing women and children deported, they do not like seeing long term residents being deported after a decade or more of being in the USA being deported. The people gleeful about this are overwhelmingly mildly educated white American males that have done socio-economically poorly competing with other white males, women and minorities.
Thirty million illegal immigrants have not been recently added to the USA. That is a false premise. Saying it over and over again doesn't make it any truer.
The 70's were a different world, one most of you just couldn't comprehend. A nation in in turmoil fighting a war half way around the globe its people wanted nothing to do with, a failing economy crippled by inflation & high unemployment, food & gas prices skyrocketing, gas prices literally doubling overnight with lines worthy of the apocalypse stretching for miles. Kids in middle school smoked cigarettes and no one slapped their peepee for it, we worked adult jobs .... people had to be resourceful because money didn't grow on government trees, handouts were a fantasy. Yep, I bought a car, and drove it at 13 .... and the world didn't bat an eye. Different time, different world.
In the 39 years since Reagan gave ~3million of them amnesty, I'd wager that's a very conservative figure. Hell, its estimated 10-12 million entered during the Biden years alone. Bottom line, not a single one of them has the right to be in this country. Simply put, unlawful presence (Being present in violation of immigration laws) in itself is grounds for removal.
Just stick to the basketball takes..... Where are these employers being arrested and fined for hiring illegals? How about all these highly subsidized farmers who use illegals for labor?
