In the small town that my in-laws live in that is between Houston and San Antonio basically the only businesses that have consistently stayed in business are all owned by the few Latinos in the area with the exception of the feed store. Every time we go down there there is a new store that pops up for this or that and the next time we go it’s out of business. Except for the 4 or 5 businesses that are clearly ran by immigrants. I actually want Trumpers to be the dog that caught the car this time so you can finally see how stupid your policies are that are driven by pure racism. Not logic or facts or your own wellbeing. I don’t want these businesses to go out of business because Trump and Abbott drove them all out but America obviously needs to learn a lesson about how our economy works.
You do realize its 2024 and most of the people crossing the border aren't coming to pick your cotton and oranges... There is heavy machinery that does that a million times faster now... Most of the people Biden and Kamala invited are coming for the free handouts.....

There isn't enough labor. Farm workers don't get the same labor law protections as other labor jobs. While I totally agree with you, the problem is those jobs don't pay enough for the average American to work and pay bills. When the gov't started giving copious amounts of dollars for people having kids, being broke, etc. those people stopped working because they are getting more money for having 5-6 kids than they would be picking grapes in a vineyard.
How many people with 5-6 kids living in government assistance do you know, personally? How many of them do you think are able to work in the fields picking grapes? If you do know people with 5-6 kids living off of government assistance, would you describe their lifestyle as easy and relaxed?

As architect I know first hand we don’t ha a lot of heavy machinery that can do wood framing and drywall as fast or efficiently as human crews. Living in farm country I know there are several jobs that can’t be replaced by machines.
