I think they do want reform, and more help at the border, processing, etc.. You can't try and control processing without more help down there. Nobody wants them not being vetted and processed. Why don't they want to approve the funding Biden offered for more border patrol and funding is a better question, but we know the answer. Trump doesn't want Republicans accepting help at the border because he wants to blame Biden instead.
