Drug traffickers push drugs through U.S. citizens traveling legitimately across the border; they won’t risk millions worth of drugs on illegal crossings. The facts bear this out.

Every single year biden has been in office has proposed massive funding increases in his budget for CBP security. Go read his 2021 fiscal budget request. Literally every single year. You're such a moron seriously

Dipshits cry about immigration all day and when a solution is presented you clowns run away

Do you really believe that or just trolling? There are real conservatives on this board who try to be serious and prankster conservatives who joke around. And then there are MAGA loons who don't have a grip on reality. I thought you were like in between the 1st and 2nd category. You can be a conservative and not have to suck up to Trump and obey his every command. And it's okay to be pro Trump, without believing every talking point and conspiracy MAGA puts out there.

This isn't a perfect bill, but progress can be made in divided government. Trump can still win if this bill passes. It's a major change in the law if it passes, and the law needs major changes.

A bipartisan bill was also introduced in 2013 - your senator, Marco Rubio was a cosponsor - and shot down by the far right in the House. Since then there hasn't been anything with bipartisan support because of this group who, from the outside looking in, doesn't seem to actually want to solve this problem.

Hot take: it's not okay to be pro trump aka man who's a insurrectionist who tried to have his VP hung. A man who wanted to send us Marshall's to voting centers to seize voting machines. It actually makes them traitors

I am not an expert, but it seems to me that more could be done to curb illegal immigration based on existing laws, without an additional bill that ties what needs to be done to all kinds of other unrelated initiatives?

No - the USA needs comprehensive border reform. There are legitimate limits to what a President can do and we don’t want a President from either party pushing the envelope on what they can do.

I am sure this bill isn’t perfect - but it has a lot of what people have asked for and this issue has been kicked down the road long enough.

They should be able to come together and figure out a compromise. They are adults and honestly lack of action on basic things that 75% of the people can agree on is concerning.

As far as tying unrelated things to it - this isn’t new, it almost always works this way. Some of the things tied in were specifically asked for in order to get a vote.

We can talk about needing to change the rules with tying other issues into a bill at a later date - but frankly the USA government has been overall utter **** for a number of years now. There are serious infrastructure issues, border issues, housing reform needed and many other issues that haven’t been addressed because the parties have fought over whether someone should have to refer to a male as “she” or why military forts are being renamed. That **** doesn’t matter …. Real issues matter and it’s time to address them.

It was Republicans who DEMANDED ukraine aid be tied to border security. Senate dems tried to pass a stand alone aid bill so they could decouple the two and Republicans rejected it and didn't allow it to pass filibuster.

Unbelievable why don't you get off right wing twitter and do some actual reading. Jesus

I have never agreed with everything Trump, I still think he handled the election poorly. I still think he makes poor character decisions that fuels leftist extremists and border crisis deniers unto painting unfair and false narratives of him. I even understand why folks dislike him, I have already stated numerous times I too hated Trump in 2016 up until maybe a couple of months before election.

With that said, my frustration comes with the fact that it took this long and even then they added a bunch unnecessary $hit. If there is no border crisis then why pass this bill? They denied it for 3 entire years and the lying scumbag leftists called it a maga conspiracy. All of a sudden they are the good guys trying to solve a problem they themselves claimed did not exist. Which one is it? I'd have more respect for Biden if he apologized to the American people for lying and then doing everything possible in working out a bill that republicans are willing to accept. I do wonder thou if trying to fix the border crisis has anything to do with elections, this is something they were supposed to be working on in 2022.....

That “unnecessary sh$t” was what the Republicans insisted on tying to it. Some of
That “unnecessary sh$t” is aid to Israel which several of y’all have been loudly proclaiming you support.

Also if this is a bill that Republicans accept why don’t they just pass it and take it as a win?
