3 years ago, you had AOC crying that everyone crossing the border illegally were actually “ innocent asylees” and crossing the border should be a cakewalk and everything is fine and sanctuary cities are welcoming them …, that was the vibe… however just like “defund the police” liberals are trying to distance that perception due to real consequences as cities are overwhelmed and the “sanctuary cities” are literally drowning now .. they know the public perception IS that THIS border situation is a HUGE issue., the American people might be slow but they catch on, just as easily as Defund the police literally died in 3 years time as it was thought to help people of diversity, equity and inclusion, then people realized it was ultimately nonsense and now you have the NAACP of all entities being against it ,…so too was the vibe about the border with actual verified voters in 3 years time so basically Biden had no reason to respond about the border 3 years ago when the overall vibe ( at least on his political side) was different, it’s politics unfortunately

A- Granting the POTUS the authority to shut down the border (with the provision that once the number of crossings reaches a certain threshold, the federal government can automatically deny or deport everyone)? B- Providing funding for additional border patrol agents, immigration judges, asylum officers, and new drug inspection machines?
