While I suspect you really don't care what caused the change, it was addressed today...

    @Kim @Astrodome

Massive news. Deporting directly to Venezuela! They aren't ****ing around. Good for biden.

What a massive development. This is a bigger deal than any wall being constructed

You're naive if you believes that. That video that elon did in eagle pass last week got like 40 million views. The following Monday biden announces a wall. Its not rocket science

It wasn't blocking part of the river used for shipping, it was blocking part of the river used for illegal immigration. The Biden administration sued under a technicality, something they were under no obligation to do, because they were against states trying to make it more difficult to immigrate illegally.
I never said they didn't. I said the government was under no obligation to sue for removal of the barriers. It also looks really stupid to sue states for erecting barriers, force the removal of the barriers, then say we have to ignore laws to build more barriers.

LOL negative. Your takes are so low iq. They sued because they wanted to show Texas they got the biggest dick in the room. They wanted to show that they had the authority as the feds and not them.

Feds will always wanna show states who's the real boss. Was nothing to do about immigration

So that part of the Rio Grande was just used for illegal immigration? You've already pointed out it is navigable which by definition means it was used for things like shipping but even if not just for shipping there are laws governing free navigation on the Rio Grande which is why Judge Ezra ruled against placing those barriers.

So it's stupid for the Federal Government to sue over something that Constitutions mandates that it and not the states has power over. That's quite an interesting view for someone to take who talks about upholding the Constitution.

That's worse. You understand how that's worse, don't you?
The government calls all sorts of waters navigable. There was a supreme court case on that very issue recently. Basically any water that flows to the sea or is adjacent to water that flows to the see is considered navigable. The areas of the Rio Grande where illegal immigrants are walking across the river are not used in shipping, they are not navigable by any reasonable interpretation of the word navigable, goods aren't moving to and from a port upstream to the ocean.
Yes. Nothing in the Constitution precludes a state from erecting a barrier inside the territory of the state unless it interferes with interstate commerce or lawful immigration. Texas couldn't blockade El Paso and deny access to trucks coming in from Mexico that were cleared by US Customs. I don't know why you would find it difficult to see the difference.

Feds will never give states jurisdiction over territory they have power over. How the hell do you not know this as a DA? Don't you deal with the feds alot? Fbi and local law enforcement always butt heads.

I question if you're even a lawyer at times

Mostly we have a very cooperative relationship with the feds and they frequently defer to us to handle cases. I don't think you know quite as much as you think you do about the law. Maybe being a witness one time doesn't quite qualify you as an expert.
    Great, take the bet.

Biden has announced he's deporting Venezuelans back to their country and Mexico and Panama will do the same. He also announced he's building a wall by waiving all environmental laws.

Your border "crisis" will be gone @Salvy

Only you would celebrate this as a win for Biden, this is costing millions of tax payer money for an unnecessary deportation process that still has to go through court... We should not have to be sending them back at all...
