You may say I am in error, or mistaken, or naïve, but you may not call me ignorant. I would challenge you to a duel of wit, but, in all fairness, my conscience would not allow me to skirmish with one who is so alarmingly disarmed.
But I did, you are willfully ignorant its what disarms me and your response is just a cop out like most of your posts.
Should we go through the reasons? Maybe not. I’m with op on most of the suggestion. But I want to see a guest work program that is controlled by each state according to their need.
Like most topics, as a collective we're so far past attempting to resolve anything. As usual, the 2 sides are only here to guide your outrage instead of objectively analyzing the situation and figuring out real, tangible solutions. This country is capable of both legally enforced borders AND being respectful of immigrants... but as a whole, seem more concerned about placing blame and spreading conjecture. And let's face it, there are any number of real, sincere topics with glaring problems demanding a review. And we could deal with them too, but we won't because no one is willing to accept the blame. Or better yet, no one is willing to just forget blame and roll on with solutions. Hell, we can't even get half this country to turn on it's headlights in the rain. That's easy. What chance do we possibly have of solving the myriad of crisis at our door, in our house when we can't do the simple things in life? To make life easier for us, for those around us? Safer? More enjoyable? You can't approach a doorway in this country anymore. Do I hold it open and get some women's rights **** over it? Do I walk by and get some lecture about manners? Do I even care anymore???? We can't even do the easy things for each other. How on earth are we going to do big things like this? Much less with hundreds of them looming at every turn. THis country is ****ed and we all know it.
You're correct, of course. My only excuse is that it was late and sometimes I get cranky after getting up at 3 a.m. and not going to bed early in order to recharge.
Well, ICE cracked down on 150 meatworkers... but what about the plant managers, or the owner of the plant?
No worries, I tried to put a winkie in there to show I wasn't serious. And it really wasn't that much of a squabble. Hope you can get some rest over the weekend.
the problem with penalties on those who employ undocumented workers is that those that are against "illegals" will find out a harsh truth: Republicans also LOVE cheap labor. I posted this as it happened years back: manufacturing warehouses on Clay road, that made everything from plastic bags to the boxes with T-mac and yao designs for toyota center were hiring people with falsified social security cards. The Employers knew about it, they would deduct the taxes and health benefits from the checks. Where did the money collected go to? that's why they were shut down in 2010. The owners of the warehouses were John Mccain voters.
That's why the problem won't get solved. Democrats want open borders because they see every illegal as a potential loyal Democrat voter, Republicans refuse to go after businesses.
the antithesis of is schizoid policy-making by tweets, that what you say on Monday may not last on Friday. .” Trump's tweet doomed the chances for a House GOP immigration bill after urging Republican lawmakers to abandon the compromise effort they have been working on for weeks. http://thehill.com/homenews/house/393678-dim-prospects-for-house-immigration-bill-after-trumps-tweet
I don't think this boils down to that. I think it's one sided like a lot of things for this current administration. Look at what Trump just did, he created an immigration policy and then blamed the democrats for it. he does it everyday, despite having the presidency and a majority in both the house and the senate. his own policy is some how the democrats fault. so how do you fix that? how do you even begin to work together when leaders in the republican party cage kids and then try to blame you for it? the opinion on here by his own supporters changes depending on the lies trump wants to tell. he lies so much that you can see in real time here blatant flip flop and hypocrisy. I just don't see any way for the democrats to work with the republicans on this at all. What I do see happening is the same thing that just happened Trump will do something outrageous he will say outrageous things and his supporters will lie and go into denial. You can almost guarantee the owners were Republican. Ohio is Red country.
There are plenty of issues that fit this description. Immigration is not one of them. Our current immigration policies are very conservative, and our conservative party is advocating to make it more conservative. Democrats have some dumb third rails (E verify) in this debate, but in terms of pursuing solutions based on facts, data, and positive outcomes, there is really no comparing the two parties.
No offense, but I’m pretty much saying our current government is worthless because blame is a game and you typed a paragraph of blame lol...come on. The 2 party thing Is killing us. Both of them. It couldn’t matter less who any of you voted for or which one sits in which office. Until they are more interested in solutions than self promotion, this country is will struggle for air.
You're looking at trump and what he's doing and thinkin "voting doesn't matter" Im gonna give you an L on that one lol
You’re living in a country that is ****ing up everything. Not just one big thing or like a bunch of small things. All of the things. Everything. Hold your own L you simpleton.
