I think we should pick up a Center in FA. Someone like Roy Hibbert, JaVale McGee, or even an under the radar guy like Solomon Alabi. Use the draft to stregthen or SF and PF positions.

The only one that's unrestricted is Alabi. McGee's qualifying offfer is 3.5 million, and Hibbert's qualifying offer is 3.7 million.

Hibbert won't join us. McGee, if he joins us, he would go back to what he was in WAS. He's effective only when his team is winning. Alabi, are you joking?

Solution at 5 is in the draft. Drummond, Sullinger and Meyers Leonard are players that we should chase for.

Trade up for Drummond or draft guys like Zeller, Melo, Henson.

220 lbs skinny frame John Henson? The same guy some scout apparently thinks might be best suited at SF? (Which is obviously just as, if not more crazy of a thought).

I have a hard time believing that Henson is or will be a solution at center for any team.

IF he bulks up he would be effective, but I doubt it to be honest. Just mentioned him as a possibility, I prefer guys like Melo over him.

I don't think you understand what a qualifying offer is.

Qualifying offer is just the lowest they'll be offered but likely they'll get well over that. Some desperate team could offer the max for either player & hopefully that's not Houston. I say go through the draft to get M. Leonard being mentored by either M. Camby or S. Dalembert whichever remains on the team next season.

I say we go for broke; if Drummond drops to 4th, flip Lowry/Martin/16th/Patterson to Nola for Okafor, whomever of Jack/Ariza they want to dump, and the 4th pick. Hopefully they will bite on that (dunno if they would, may have to toss in Morris or the other pick). Though that's a pretty steep price for a center with high bust potential, it's a risk that needs to be taken. He's already a plus defender, and a Motiejunas/Drummond frontcourt could be scary good in a few years; their games complement each others too well.

The funny thing is that 220 is probably "bulked up" for Henson already. He was something like 183 coming into college.

Any fa center is gonna be unproven and overpaid - period. If we're gonna overpay, I'd rather take a proven commodity and ditch a 'bad' contract.... bet we could package Sam n Scola for Okafor's contract, or swing a deal for Al Jefferson's contrct... In an ideal situation,we could pull Pekovic for Kmart + assets (pick)...

If that doesnt workout, get the best prospect avalable when we pick... worse case we get a Fab Melo project on a rookie scale contract backing up Camby (resigned with a hometown sweetheart deal) or Sam....

Has anything been said as to where Dmo figures intot he mix? Is he locked in at pf or could that 7'0 be our center?

There is no such thing as "locked in" when you are dealing with McHale.

Sullinger should be available at 6.
