Nothing wrong with prison labor as long as it's administrated correctly.

Cannot concur. IMO, with the exception of growing their own food or working on projects to directly benefit the prison populace, prison labor should be prohibited, even properly administered.

Prison labor takes jobs out of the private sector and thereby depresses the local economy.

By the way, anyone ever heard of this group that lives in Alaska... they go by a number of different names, but collectively they are known as... Native Americans?

I heard a rumor that they were once able to take things like trees and rocks and make things out of them... things like weapons and boats. Using these incredible tools, they were able to move between islands and kill things.

Are you honestly equating bank executives to terrorists? Wow, it's amazing how warped some people's senses are. Class warfare taken to the extreme...

I guess you weren't watching the movies too closely?

A fundimental theme of both movies was how inhumane the island prisons were. And you want to replicate that?

Makes sense. I don't mind them picking up trash on the side of the road though.

if he just equated bank executives to terrorists, then you equated labor unions to terrorists. what's good for the goose is good for the gander and all that.

Gobbledygook -- Um, no I didn't. The terrorists would be replacing the labor unions. They would be superior to them in productivity level and benefit to the company.

and his response was about the terrorists replace the bank executives. so if that's calling them terrorists, then you are calling the americans in the labor unions terrorists.

You think forced foreign labor would be better at assembly of an automobile than a trained Union Auto Worker?

No, you are missing the point, as usual, little friend. I suggested having the terrorists replace the labor union employees. The other response was 'well what do we do with the bank execs'... implying that they deserve a similar fate at the terrorists. As you can see, there is a difference there. Oopsie daisy.

On another subject, Gobbledygook, I thought you made a pledge to Clutch to never respond to The_Conquistador ever again. What gives? Is this why you changed your name -- because you just couldn't help yourself?

Yeah, I was referring to mainly public works projects and goods restricted to state use, not free world services. Tx prisons used to be self sufficient in many areas, but not much anymore.

to any person with a third grade or higher reading comprehension it is clear he is asking what to do with the bank executives after you recommended getting rid of the labor unions in favor of terrorists. regardless, your distasteful suggestion shows how anti-american you really are anyway. why do you support terrorists?

Let me be clear, little friend -- The_Conquistador does not support terrorists. Nor does The_Conquistador support labor market terrorists, such as unions. There are few meaningful union jobs that require college degrees (i.e. brains), with the possible exception of high school teachers (teaching below the high school level is glorified babysitting, let's be real). So most union jobs are non-skilled grunt jobs. Now, you can not say the same for our banking executives. It requires substantial brainpower to manage our complicated financial system. That's a fact. It also requires impeccable taste in clothing and incredible hair, which is why The_Conquistador is so wildly successful.

T_J, as you can surmise, I have leanings toward your positions, but your bravado is ballooning into bombast and straining even my credulity. Ease up. You often state your positions eloquently, but, if you infuriate your peers, your voice becomes a cry in the wilderness. Like you, I have no fear of opposing views, but others -- even ultra liberals -- often do have valid observations.

Was it the comment on the hair? Because there is no denying my incredible hair.
