Compared to Orlando or Toronto? I mean, I was surprised by that. I guess he just considers Houston a home.
Oh come on, the winky guy means I am joking. My gawd people are so sensitive. And yes, there is an ignore feature. DD
I was yawning until I saw this. Of course T-Mac loves Houston and he doesn't want to leave. Regardless of fan opinion and the organization's preferences, I've always been pretty sure that his first choice would be to re-sign with the Rockets. Beside the fact that his home is here (as are quite a few other NBA stars), he has a lot of unfinished business, and he would rather earn his playoff stripes here than go off somewhere else and try to start all over again. Now this is news. Solomon is now accusing the team of misleading everyone about McGrady's status last year, saying that the words "no change" were used to obscure the fact that there were undisclosed problems that were seen right from the start of it all. This is different from the assumption of many around here that the scans showed a healthy joint that just needed to be rehabbed properly. If what Solomon is saying is true, no amount of extra rehab/workouts could have saved McGrady's season last year.
Hopefully we can keep Tracy, I love the guy's personality and when healthy he is an elite scoring threat. Just keep that healthy part in check and who knows what might happen.
The size of a city is not debatable... it's not something you can have an opinion on. Houston is the 4th largest city in the whole country. That's a fact.
Nice to hear if you're a Houstonian. Nothing too admirable. Relocating and moving your family can just be a pain in the ass, even for athletes who travel all the time. No athlete ever publicly demands a trade anyways. Still its better than him being a grump about it all
Any superstar shall love current Rockets team. Adding any superstar, this is a serious contender. Plus yao, they will dominate the league.
The exact size in terms of population or land mass isn't debatable, but it's completely subjective what a person's meaning of "big" is.
Some of us believed tmac last year when he kept saying that there's pain in his knee ergo there's still something wrong while DM and RA said he's fine and he just need to play through the pain because the doctors say his knee is fine. i think DM and RA kept saying tmac's fine because it was a huge year for them. DM just traded for artest and they had the best chance ever of making a deep playoff run. but later on when tmac kept insisting that there's something wrong with his knee and his play deteriorated, RA and DM probably decided then that they needed to trade tmac in order to save the season and save face. and then tmac cockblocked that trade with his season ending surgery. so now DM and RA are still trying to trade tmac but tmac's trying to be the good little boy scout and toe the line and make sure his teammates and les still like him enough so he has leverage. utimately, it's tmac vs DM and RA. like RA said, this isnt going to end well. and imho, it's DM and RA's fault.
It's sad that we live in a world that we can't take whatever words been spoken at their face value but have to come up with a series of conspiracy theories on anything and everything.
This is what i believe too, and its validated in the video with clanton and jones when they say the mri back in 07/08 before the surgery showed the cartilage damage and that microfracture was always an option. Tracy gets alot of blame deservedly but i feel that injury situation was not his fault and the organization has a lot blame on their parts for not being totally honest.
So because McGrady says it, it becomes "certain"? Wow. That's one gigantic leap of both faith and logic you just made.
they don't need another big 3rd option. they just need Yao (and everyone else) to stay freaking healthy for the whole season and postseason including the finals. yes, they can get there if they're all healthy and play the right way. share the ball, play smart offense and play hard defense. next year (i hate to keep on saying next year, but what can you do?) PG: Brooks/Lowry = very solid SG: T-Mac (100% healthy)/C-Bud = one of the best SG combos in league SF: Ariza/Battier = best defensive SF combo and great shooters PF: Scolandry = enough said (but they play even better with Yao) C: Yao (100% healthy)/Hayes = still damned great they just need a few more options, but the above lineup is still as good as any in the league if healthy. plenty of scoring (Brooks, Scola, Ariza and Landry are all scoring 15+ppg; add Yao and T-Mac to the mix and C-Bud looks like the real deal), and great defense (both first and second units, although offense is better for the starters and defense for the bench). it's going to be hard to keep everyone though. T-Mac, Scola and Landry are all free agents, Yao can opt out (he won't though), Brooks/Lowry are restricted free agents. Lakers? still weak at the PG, and a bit thin at the wings Celtics? too old Spurs? even older Orlando? no answer for big teams with good perimeter D, need a playmaker Cleveland? still just the LeBron show Denver? Cleveland west Portland? Oden's cursed, Portland's cursed (Houston might be too ) everyone else? not even close.
