Solomon is a fool. Even with the Rockets playing their hearts out the talent on their roster can only take so far. These players hustle just as much as every other team in the league, and often more than most. Solomon is trying to declare that we don't play as hard as other teams in the league ? We HAVE to play just as hard if not harder to compete in this league due to the lack of a star on our roster. Our current starting Roster has NO current or former All-Stars on it. Solomon laughed at the Hawks game reference... If the Hawks were playing with the amount of effort we were exerting they would of kicked our ASSES. The Hawks are loaded with more talented players than the Rockets. Joe Johnson up and coming All-Star in this league, Josh Smith has proven he is a physical force, and Mike Bibby is a proven veteran. We were playing that game with a roster with no All-Stars, only minor playoff exposure, and a team that was maximizing its potential with what it has. Solomons theory is highly incorrect. If all teams played at 100 percent effort then why would these teams with no Stars even come to play. Because if the Lakers/Celtics/Cavs/Magic were playing with full effort every night+ the level of talent their players had there would be no point to even show up.
Does it matter that he posts here? Do we change our stated opinion of his tactics because he might read them? I think most people know that Solomon writes what will "excite" readers, no matter what his real opinion is. Apparently he does the same thing in radio interviews... because he did a great job in making me cringe in that interview. And he pissed Yoyo off enough that he wants to turn the broadcast over to the SO committee.
if you are a journalist that writes about the rockets, i think you'd be kinda dumb not to be a member here. pretty much everything relevant about the team is covered here on a daily, if not hourly basis. so my guess is that most of the people who talk about the rockets consistently are either members here, or lurk.
I don't why there's such a strong reaction to Solomon's opinion anyway. The guy (Justice) with the insider claims has been dropping bombs yet his info is being overlooked, dismissed simply because they're not pro-McGrady.

man this was horrible, I don't know if he is trying to make a name for himself, but wow that was horrible.
I think he was trying to go with the opposite view point and draw attention thus making him stick out from the rest...most everyone knows Solomon is pretty bad with his opinion pieces.
wow that interview was down right terrible and his "special olympic" comments were soo out of line I dont even know where to begin. seriously I cant believe that the chron let Blinebury go instead of this guy. I am sorry I have yet to read anything he has written that has remotely anything that would be considered "insight" or "insider news" also he clearly couldnt control his emotions on the radio and sounded like some teenage kid crying the same points over and over. he may know his stuff on other sports I dont know but trying to compare a post game speech talking about NBA Coaches and players to the likes of college football coaches make no sense whatsoever. Its not even close in terms of how each sport operates. and yeah I am going to email those people tonight and complain about those comments
