Solid Starter or Rising Star?

CAN play D, CAN get the foul and now CAN shoot the ball. Move over Chris Paul, watch out Deron Williams..

 

Even before this season, I knew that Lowry would be a star if he ever developed a shot. Now he did. He's a star.

He looks like a smaller version of Dwyane Wade.

 

Hate to see him go but knowing the Rockets, Lowry will be a trade piece to acquire CP3 next season.

 

If he keeps playing like this, I can see him making the all-star game two or three times in his career.

LET'S NOT JINX HIM THOUGH.

 

I hope not, God I hate CP3, biggest whiner in th NBA.

 

Cp3 isn't the player we need now, we need to get a top level sf or center and then our team will w complete

If he can maintain his play over the course of an entire season (next year) and can lead this Rockets team to the playoffs (this year/next year), he definitely is a rising star. What separates stars from pretenders is that the ability to get good stats while leading their team to wins.

 

He reminds me alot of Chauncey Billups and I honestly think thats his potential

 

I'm not sure why really, he's more of a distributor (his assist to point ratio will always be higher), he's probably never going to be as good a shooter either, but his linebacker body gives him better driving abilities, defensively they're pretty similar i guess.

 

Yea he seems to step up towards the end of the game too

Billups was taller, a better scorer, and a slightly better passer, while Lowry is a better offensive rebounder and a quicker defender.

Billups took another step forward in his 6th season, so that will be the ultimate test for Lowry. Chauncey took on more of an offensive load in his 6th season, and was able to improve his efficiency by increasing his ability to get to the free throw line.

Watching Lowry next season will be interesting, for sure.

It's a nobrainer. He's not a rising star, because he's THE star already.

I don't care about the media exposure or reputation and I watched a lot of games on nightly basis. He's currently playing at a level between allstar and superstar in terms of stats&winning&impact on both ends&efficiency.

If he can keep playing like this WITHOUT IMPROVEMENT, he's at least an allstar level player. If he can actually get the votes is another matter.
