One thought about softball, that pitcher has to be one crazy dude. Pitching fatter pitches than Mike Gallo and being that close.

pretty good outfielders aren't put in left field. that's where all the scrubs play. ;)

had to come back and read this thread again. Last season, we ended up winning our last 16 in a row to win the championship.

This year, just started 5-0...I gave up a HUGE inning. Mostly my fault with 4 or 5 walks, including 2 in front of girls (which meant the girls got to walk for free). 14 runs in all I think. Out of nowhere, too...I had been pitching just fine.

Our team was undefeated and we in a 5-5 game. Ended up losing 19-12.

Anyway, reading this thread is good enough for me. So double thanks. But this time, it really was ALL on me ;) So it feels like crap. I think the harder part is gonna be pitching next time and not thinking about all those damn walks.

talking about mistakes, our team played our first two games of the season last night. first game, we were flawless and killed them. the second game, i made 4 errors in the first two innings and cost us about 8 runs. 1 fly ball i dropped over my head, 1 fly ball i dropped b/c i slipped on the grass (no cleats), 1 grounder i couldn't hold on to that came right to me that would have been a double play, and a throwing error. i play shortstop by the way.

but i made up for the mistakes in that second inning. there was a runner on first and second, no outs. batter hits a grounder straight to me. then BAM! tagged the runner at 2nd, stepped on 2nd, throw to 1st. inning ending 6-3 triple play! :D

the next two innings were 1-2-3, but we couldn't make up the run difference. :(
