What did you want them to do, praise it? Dirty play is dirty. If Mexico players do it in retaliation or on their own, they'll talk about it on TV. Note the passing and precision... who's doing that without dirty pay?
Just random thoughts. Should they expand the tourney, and invite four countries? make it a 16 team field. They could invite one from Asia, one from Africa, one from Europe and one from South America. Put one in each group. I dunno, bored.
They used to do this. Brazil has played. Columbia has played. With the tournament winner gaining a spot in the Confederations Cup, it would be kind of stupid to give it to someone from outside the region should they win. Plus, it screams that CONCACAF isn't good enough and has to add teams to make the tournament interesting. I feel the same about COMNEBOL inviting Mexico, USA, Japan, etc to their tournament. Why do they need to do it? I have to add one thing about Reliant. Houston and Reliant prove time and time again that it's a great place for soccer on this stage...with one exception. GET RID OF THE F***ING TRAY SYSTEM! It creates a terrible surface.
what was that. Nice move to take the ball into the box....and then passed it off to his teammate who was just standing there watching. lol
They laid the turf down on monday, so it didn't really set in good, which was kinda stupid. The reason CONMEBOL invites two countries is because they only have ten nations, and need two more to actually have a tournament.
I have to admit. I was wrong about Adu. He was the difference when he came in for the USA. He was strong on the ball, confident, and smart. That pass to Landon was perfection and was exactly what Jones and Bradley weren't seeing all night long. Find the space...put the ball there and let the outside mids run. Bradley didn't look like he had all tournament. He wasn't working for the ball...getting it from the backs and distributing. He was planted in the middle and holding too long when he got it. Agudelo just went up against a stronger and more experienced back and it showed. Bradley made the right move in pulling him and moving Dempsey up. I still would have liked to see Edu, especially late when it was clear that Jones was getting tired. Fresh legs in the middle would have saved a lot of heartburn there at the end. A good, very tough win. Looks like it's going to be another classico between the USA and mexico as it's now 2-0.
Golazo #2....that was quick. These announcers sound like they want to go home lol....sound tired. http://www.firstrowsports.eu/watch/69987/1/watch-honduras-vs-mexico.html The last 10 min they have cracked me up.
They just showed another view. Was that last gol a hand ball? Not that it matters....unless Honduras scores...
Thank you God ... I was worried when I bought tickets for the finals a few months ago that I was going to get stuck with an "underdog" final. Never been to live soccer game before so this should be fun.
