US Roster Goalkeepers Cannon, Joe Howard, Tim Defenders Albright, Chris Bocanegra, Carlos Bornstein, Jonathan Boswell, Bobby Conrad, Jimmy Namoff, Bryan Robinson, Eddie (Plays for Houston) Mids Carroll, Brian Clark, Ricardo (Plays for Houston) Convey, Bobby Dempsey, Clint Donovan, Landon Gros, Joshua Mapp, Justin Mastroeni, Pablo Forwards Johnson, Eddie Rolfe, Chris Twellman, Taylor Cooper not making the roster is a surprise, he seems like the forward with the most promise. And I was hoping Gooch would be on the team, he may not have wanted to leave Newcastle since he just moved there.
couldn't? rofl. I have better things to do than check this thread over and over and over to see if someone responded to my post. ....like sleeping...and...well....sleeping...and eating....and working....and....now...responding. Say whatever you want Swoly, but i'd watch this episode of lost over anything, not just soccer. I'd watch it over the Rockets, Astros, Superbowl, anything. Just cause i haven't had my fix in forever. I'll definetly be switching in between channels though. I'll be able to watch the first hr of the game cause lost is at 9 now.
OoOoOoo, look out... 1 goal in the World Cup... oOoOoo... we're scared... GAME OVER, wow... Nah. He's good. He's good. I just realized how good the record for you dudes is within the EE.UU. Look at it this way, Estados Unidos' fans: your national team will not play friendlies "outside" the United States, but it's like a 50-50 home/away game for both... there are plenty of fans for both teams... maybe that's why Mexico agrees to play in the U.S. in some cities. I wished they'd schedule a game in, oh, I don't know, say... ESTADIO AZTECA? No way the U.S. will accept that.
I hate to break it to you but it's Mexico that wants to play in the US. When they come here to play it's easy money for them. It's the same way with just about every country. There's a reason the games get played in cities with a high Mexican population and not Columbus or Salt Lake City (the locations for the last two meaningful US/Mex games here).
"easy money" = ?? Are you talking about easy "wins" or easy "games"? I meant the record has been good for you dudes playing in the U.S., but I didn't know anything about any money. I am not playing naive here... I don't know what exactly you meant by that. You mean getting paid? Amazingly, I did not know they get paid so much for these games. I know there's a HUGE difference between Columbus and LA. HUGE. So was I right? My team doesn't want to play in those cities with low numbers of fans for them. Yes?
Yes, I'm talking about actual money. The visiting team for friendlies gets paid an appearance fee, and since Mexico knows a lot of people will show up for a game in LA they want to play there because they can negotiate a higher fee, possibly more than they would get even in Azteca due to higher ticket prices. Of course the US gets more money from it also and would rather play Mexico in LA. So it's a win/win for friendlies. And for games like World Cup Qualifiers the US is going to pick cities like Columbus where Mexico will have fewer fans, and Mexico will pick Azteca where they're practically unbeatable.
YuCk. Turquoise white and green? Or is that smiley color? I don't know why, but I lose respect for those changing so much... like the U.S. or MEXICO. Take Germany and Argentina, for example. Always have been loyal to the three stripes.
We're about a day away from gametime. If you're interested, US Soccer is currently live broadcasting their practice for today. I'm not sure how long until the practice becomes closed to the media. http://www.ussoccer.com/ Click on MATCHACCESS to watch.

During that span, the USA has netted 11 goals, while the Mexicans have failed to score a single goal on American soil in this decade. Here's some more fuel to get every body ready for the upcoming "friendly" <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pENBzZ4aGp4"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pENBzZ4aGp4" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Nice, DrLudicrous. I see it's someone from the EE.UU. doing that video... other than Hermosillo lifting his arms (maybe it was the score on the Keller clear?), I don't think MEXICO was ever shown scoring in that video. Nonetheless, shows the rivalry and how both sides aren't scared to face each other, and how we're both dirty. Yeah, we're on the losing end... and we hate the EE.UU. for that. Nice video. Pobre Alexi Lalas... "You're skirred? You can't play here... you wuss... you can't expect NOT to get touched... don't chicken out... come in with EVERYTHING... " You know what's funny...? That video has NO Reliant Stadium highlights. What, did they bring the wussy players from both sides to Houston?
