Exactly, the last 9 minutes plays out 100% the same without Mexico scoring if the EJ goal is allowed. So Mexico's bus arriving late due to traffic had no impact to their slow start either.
It's only because your head can be used to contact the ball and score. So that's why it is ruled offsidies. Obviously he wasn't going to use his head on this play, but the rule applies to all situations the same.
Yeah, when EJ scores, does everyone stop playing or something, DaDakota? If the ball is placed at the kickoff midfield point, outcome is different in the next plays, not a restart! Y'all forget Mexico was DOWN 2-0 and came back. It wasn't a 1-1 scoreboard ever. things have not changed so much since the 80s... yesterday night the U.S. couldn't beat Mexico's B team AT HOME! They should have won. You know... like in the 2000's. It's not leaning, it's being seen from the linesman's point of view "closer" to the goal than two defenders. EJ's position is in an advantageous place over defenders. You're supposed to beat the other team with skills, not with "placing yourself in an advantageous position." Were there no offside rules, people would be camping by the goal just trying to score. AND, it's "offside", man...
Came back to this thread only to see Swoly try to say it wasn't offside and it wasn't a penalty. Wasn't disappointed. **** Mexico.
 Quoted for you mad [at the refs], bro. AND you are only half disappointed. I agreed there should have been a foul on Aguilar tripping Green.
Yeah, things really haven't changed when Mexico needs the US reserve team to score miracle goals in stoppage time to qualify for the World Cup.
What does that have to do with yesterday?!? I don't get it. Mexico did its duty against Panama. F the "miracle goals" crap. You act like you all shouldn't have beat a lesser Panama team.
Except he is correct about the offsides call... I can't say about the penalty, I found a gif of it last night, but I can't seem to find it anymore. From what I remember there was a foul, but I don't think it would have been a penalty.
You just said that nothing has changed since the 1980s. Mexico needing tie-breaker scenarios to qualify for the World Cup certainly isn't the "norm" you reference in your post.
You can keep telling yourself that. Look at the gifs and the rules and you'll see that you just may be wrong (I know, it's ok).
LOL @ no history book will show what DaDa is talking about. I was responding to bigtexxx in regards to 'nothing has changed'... last game.... but... sure: go back to October.
TrowLLy -D doing what he does best. Putting the aNo in MeXicano. Enjoy these wins in May, they'll be the only ones you guys will have this summer. Oh and one more thing, you're welcome. Spoiler
First of all, MAY is not in the summer, last I checked. And, secondly... classy stuff on the 'ano'. Cool! Whom would I be trolling? I don't get it. Look at the title of the thread. You mad you couldn't score more than two on lowly Azerbaijan, bro?
Why can't the U.S and Mexico just be friends?! Both are underdogs in their groups, I hope both pull off the upsets.
