Sorry, there's already no offside on corners.

The offense would place at least 4 people near goal for ricochets and whatnot, and one wide, probably forcing the wall to dissolve, with equal or more defenders backing up into the goal area, creating a mass of bodies in front of the goal. Again, resulting in shielding the goalie and making for a lot of pure luck goals from the bounce of the ball.

Why would a mass of bodies in the goal area be a good idea?

Why do us US fans think we can come up with better rules changes? The rest of the world does a facepalm.

There is no offside on a corner kick or throw-in.

    This is so stupid.

It's like that kid who sucks at chess so he uses the chess set to play checkers instead.

I would also like to move the offside position line away from the center line and make it about half way between the box and center, a blue line like Hockey - it would stretch the field out and open up the middle for more creative play.

True, but you can't head a ball forward to a player that is next to the goal if they are in an offside position - so it is sort of moot.

The field is 120 yards long and there has been no shortage of creative play...ever.

How would you manage it then? There's no offside for 5 seconds after a corner? 5 minutes? How do you decide when it's no longer part of that corner?

    Please stop.

It is not moot. True statement about the header, but it must be emphasized that there is NO offside offense if directly from Corner Kick, in which case now there's a header. He is right and the point has to be remembered.

"Flamboyant"? I know you're trolling, but...

Who in this World Cup? Last one was Jorge Campos or maybe even Higuita.

    Make the goal bigger.

Also, make the ball oblong so it bounces around all crazy.

Good point, I guess on this, I would leave it alone.

I do stand by my blue line though to stretch the field.

21 guys on the same side of the pitch is crowded, I would like to simply extend the point at which a player is in an offside position beyond the midfield line to stretch out play and create space.

Higuita was the reason I started off as a goalie as a kid, Jorge Campos is the reason I would play goalie then forward as I got older. Edgar Davids is the reason is ended up playing defensive midfielder as a teen/highschool.

Make goals count as 7 points as penalty kicks as 3 points.

I think they should have hot spots like in NBA JAM that pop up randomly for 10 seconds at a time, if you score from the hotspot you get however many points it's worth.

Here's the only thing that incorporates all of your ideas (except bigger goals). This idea is revolutionary. There's no offside. There's fewer players on the field. Subs are open and unlimited. There's even no out of bounds.

It's called indoor soccer. It's got everything you guys want...including DD's blue line rule.

How about stopping the clock when players pretend to be hurt?

Yeah, I play indoor, it is fun, but I want that blue line rule in outdoor too.

Something that opens the field up and allows for a bit more space on half of the pitch.
