So here are the teams that advance to the knockout stage:

Pot 1: Chelsea, Bayern, Liverpool, Valencia, Lyon, Man United, Arsenal, Milan

Pot 2: Barca, Inter, PSV, Roma, Real, Celtic, Porto, Lille

I have a sneaky feeling we'll see a United vs. Barca/Real tie in the next round.

Great win by Man-U (3 nice header goals), and what a game by Giggsy, old school still doing his thing! I was getting very nervous after that tremendous goal by Nelson but Man-U just took it to another level.

Can't wait for the knock round - The only that sucks is we have to wait until almost the end of Feb for the games to start back up again. Draws on Dec. 15th.

    Wow...brilliant!

I haven't watched the game yet, will watch 2nite after the rox, but that is just genius (and you know he meant to do that).

We really are blessed to be able to watch this guy...he's a once in a generation type.

That's why you stay on your feet. That would have been a nothing shot if just one of them had stayed down. I guess Ronaldinho knew they'd jump...that or he just mis-hit it.

Ok the drawing for the next round are in:

FC Porto (POR) v Chelsea FC (ENG)
Celtic FC (SCO) v AC Milan (ITA)
PSV Eindhoven (NED) v Arsenal FC (ENG)
LOSC Lille Métropole (FRA) v Manchester United FC (ENG)
AS Roma (ITA) v Olympique Lyonnais (FRA)
FC Barcelona v Liverpool FC (ENG)
Real Madrid CF (ESP) v FC Bayern München (GER)
FC Internazionale Milano (ITA) v Valencia CF (ESP)

The Bold teams are the ones i think will go to the next round.

I do not know, most people jump, that way it is more difficult for the opponents to shoot over them. I think it was very smart of Ronaldinho to do it like this, the next time the defenders will stay on the ground, which makes it easier for Ronaldinho to score.

I think he will stay another year...then maybe move on to Bayern or so.

Real-Bayern 3:2...late goal by van Bommel puts Bayern into a pretty good position for the return match...I'll be in the stadium!

I expect Bayern to blow Real away then!!! With 60,000 fanatic fans behind the team, my prediction is 4:1!

I have a feeling you guys are going to rape us at the Nou Camp later.. Bellamy and Riise's golf club antics won't exactly help matters either :(

The Arsenal-PSV game was really slow, neither team really attacked.

Real Madrid looked really good except for the last 10 minutes or so, that was a huge goal for B. Munich. I still think Real has the better squad and will probably prevail. For those saying Becham is done, I think he proved that he still has alot left in the tank and just for his free kick ability and passing he will bring much excitement and attention to the sport in the states. I hope England gives him another shot to represent the country in the Euros next summer.

Is it too early to call Robinho a bust? The guy has shown flashes and yes he has not been given a fair chance, but for the most part he is not much of an impact player...is he the brazilian Freddy Adu?

I am kind of pissed cause it doesn't look like ESPN 2 is going to show the Barca-Pool game live (have to wait for the replay on Classic). I stayed home from work for my b-day today and was excited cause I could relax and watch Barca and now they're showing freaking Chelsea-Porto :(

Chelsea doesn't look impressive at all as usual...world class talent at almost every position, but mediocre productivity and style.

Qaresma can't buy a foul so far, he's been abstructed 4 times already!
