The channels on those are wrong, ESPN2 is showing Chelsea and ESPN Classic is showing Barcelona.

I think the Barcelona game is a delayed showing, soon after the Chelsea game.

On a happier note, Manchester United looks like they will make it to the next round and with Rooney not playing at his best.

I thought Arsenal looked pretty good yesterday. I really would like to see more of Baptista.

How was the ManU game? Chelski is up one but they are giving a lot of balls away right now. Would love to see an equalizer.

It was a decent performance for Man United. Benfica dominated the midfield for the majority of the match, but our defense was very solid and they really didn't have any clear cut scoring chances. The difference in the match was a perfect counter attack with a great run by Ronaldo who send a perfect pass to Saha in space who scored a great bending goal from just inside the box. The return of Vidic and Heinze really looks to have sured up our defense.

Yeah, I saw the strike on the highlights. That was a nice one. Where did this evra guy come from? I was pretty impressed with him during the arsenal game.

We signed him from Monaco in January. He's very good going forward, but nowhere near as good as Heinze in defense. He gives us quality depth at LB, and could even play some left wing.

Yeah, as aggressive as he was going forward I thought SAF might employ him in the future on the wing. Good signing (from my limited exposure) with little ballyhoo. What is your preferred lineup with ManU?

I really can't tell you what my perferred lineup would be simply because I still think we have major problems in central midfield. While a Carrick-Scholes partnership will work against the lower and mid-table teams, I just think it's too lightweight to go against the big guns. Which mean we need to add either O'Shea or Fletcher to do the donkey work in midfield at the expense of an attacker. However I love a back line of Neville-Rio-Vidic-Heinze and an attacking force of Ronaldo and Giggs on the wings with Saha and Rooney up front.

PSV had a nice win. Altough they did not play great.

The red card was ridicules. The ref was overal bad.

Sorry bout that...got them mixed up.

I just finished watching 3 of the 4 they showed...I just can't get myself to watch Chelsea...I'll watch it this weekend.

Man-U and Barca did not play particularly well but were able to come away with points. C. Ronaldo is really maturing as a player and turning into a great one. He still holds on to the ball a little too much but he is really hustling and making devastating runs. Damm, Rooney is so unfit it is sad. He should be dominating, not looking like an old man. Hopefully he can get back to form.

2 more goals for Ruud. Saha looked really good in the time he played, including that great goal. Thank God Ferguson did not play K Richardson, that dude is a waste of speed and athleticism.

How frustrating must it be for Messi and Robinho? To have all that talent and skill and be wasting away on the bench.

BIG BLOW for Barca...Eto' is out for 3-5 months :( Eto' out

I'm not gonna miss that Chelsea - Barcelona game !

In Tuesday's games, Lyon looked great, 10 wins in a row (including french championship and champion's league), that's pretty impressive. Juninho's free kick is very beautiful and the first touch on Kallstrom's goal too.
    I'm also glad Lille won.
And what a goal by Ruud !

I'm looking forward to the chelsea-barca game.

Yesterday they showed Anderlecht-milan, that was one boring game :(

I do not understand how HSV could have become so bad, they just cannot win anymore(also in the german league).

    It's gonna be war!

Messi has already started the flame war by saying something along the line that none of the Chelsea players are good enough to play for Barca. And those 'not good enough' players include Ballack, Shevchenko, Drogba, Essien, Lampard, Terry...etc

What was in the mind of the 19 years old? :)

Probably injuries, arno.. no van der Vaart, Kompany, Jarolim and a few others

Media nonsense again. His direct quote was: "Chelsea have put together a super team but I think we are better. I wouldn't take Drogba, Shevchenko or Ballack for any of our players." I wouldn't take Nowitzki on the Rockets but that doesn't mean he ain't good enough to play for us

In any case.. only Cech, Shevchenko and maybe Terry would walk into their first team, IMO. Not so sure about the rest. Ballack and Makelele are excellent - but I don't see them displacing anyone in Barca's midfield

Lampard is quite possibly the most overrated footballer in the universe.

Thank you. After reading the direct quote I agree the media did somewhat twist what Messi had said.

But ... you wouldn't take Dirk for any of our players? I am not a cap expert and I do not know how it can be worked out under the salary cap ... but I would really ponder on taking Dirk for Juwan. :D
