I meant to mention it before but did anyone else go to the Galleria since Thursday. I ran into so many of the Mexican National team there. There were tons of fans just walking around the mall waiting to take pictures with anyone that was there....kind of cool to see some of the players.

I was in the galleria when the FC Barcelona v. Club America game was going on and it was freaking awesome to see Barca players walking around. There were tons of Club America guys too but everyone was searching for the Barcelona guys. Basically the Mexican people there went to Club America and everyone else who has even the slightest knowledge of soccer knew who ronaldinho was and as a result went hunting for Barcelona players.

    In the following article,sanchez said.....

"Reliant field is not in the best of conditions. The grass is too short and muddy. It is frustrating and inexcusible that a team is not allowed to prepare before the game or that the field isn't ready for play."

I kind of agree with him.How hard is it to grow grass?(insert ricky williams joke here.)Seriously, reliant needs to a better job with this issue not just for the futbol games but for the texans.

A note to Hugo:In houston,It is not a conspiracy, the field is always this bad!! :)

Tonight, 7:00 p.m. ET on FSC and Univision.

And, for those of us (like me) who will be at work at that time - replayed at 11:00 p.m. ET on FSC, after hours of studiously avoiding any possible place where the result could be posted.

HEADS UP for you afternooners... ;)

U.S. and A. versus Canada @ 6 p.m., then Mexico versus Guadalupe @ 9 p.m., both from Soldier Field in Chicago...

I predict a free-kick shootout and the U.S. and A. through to the finals in the first game, and a squeeze of 2-1 by MEXICO (damn those Guadalupanos are damn fast  ).

SI SE PUE-DE!!! Sí se puede...! Sí... se... puede?

U.S. and A. controlling ball. Only dangerous attack was corner from Canada. The stands are empty. I laugh. :D

3814, matchtracker.ussoccer.com has the tracker. You need Java and Flash. You don't have Univision in Canada? :( or at least a way to get it online?

I'm at work...so I can only track the score - not watch the game. Actually - I gotta head out to a Chamber of Commerce meeting in five minutes.

Archundia is being too soft. He didn't give a RED card to Bocanegra w. Bocanegra then came and knocked someone down and he didn't give him a second yellow. Wonder if he wants MEXICO to play the U.S. and A. in the final... he's forgiving dirty ass Bocanegra...

I agree the 1st one may have deserved a red (although I don't think so because he was not trying to take him out, but I could certainly see if the ref thought he was and a red would have been acceptable).

As for the 2nd one ... GET REAL ... He barely touched the guy ... Shoulda been a yellow on the other guy for flopping. I've never seen anyone get a yellow on a play like that and certainly not a 2nd yellow.

It's soccer. It's not like they score every 40 seconds.

I think Messico is pulling for Canada.

Mexico doesn't want to face the United States or something?

There is this thing called Karma.

Mexico wants Canada to win, so they can play them. And when Mexico gets what they wish for, they end up losing to Canada.

    Sports is funny like that.

    (unless you're the cubs).

I don't play football for my country. I notice who plays dirty. I have NEVER said someone isn't dirty. Show me where I have said some Mexican players are not. I pick my battles. Bocanegra and Mastroeni are dirty. BYE BYE Bradley too late, though :(.
