Not really. It was his fault that Holland scored, and then he blamed Badstuber with gestures.

I think it just happens from time to time that a defender gets crossed and looks like a B. But Badstuber was way too passive and didn't intimidate the shooter enough, resulting in him scoring. Blame goes to both of them.

Yes I am. And no, I do not. :)

You see, I was actually a huge soccer nut growing up. I was playing soccer pretty much every day and I watched basically every game that was on TV.
As I got older and having tried all different kinds of sports, I got more and more fascinated with basketball and at some point I had to make a decision due to my increasingly limited spare time.
So I decided to give up soccer and stick with basketball.
Ever since, I rarely pay attention to soccer. I only watch the German EC and WC games.
Obviously you will get some exposure of soccer related stuff living in Germany, but I'm pretty good at avoiding it/blending it out, thus I couldn't have guessed Gomez was even half-decent now.

    Thanks.

Thanks to you as well. The bolded part is exactly like I had remembered Gomez. I remember cringing every time he was subbed in.

Yung-T and SJC and all the other germans: Congratulations. You are the better team.

During most of the game I was affraid we would be destroyed (like 4-0 or something like that). I think it is clear that the way the dutch team have been playing they are not on the same level as germany.

Van Marwijk is to rigid and faithfull to his current players. In the second half we finally played like i want them to play(with both RVP and Huntelaar, and also with Van der Vaart as defensive midfielder). And even though van MArwijk just got a new contract I doubt he will be the coach for long.

There was no passion in the dutch team. No dutch player has played good this tournament. Willems did well, he made some errors but that is to be expected.

I would kill to have schweinsteiger on our team. (some other as well but we really could use a player like him).

It is terrible but when we are indeed official out of the tournament I will be rooting for Germany, from all the team who actually have a chance they are the team I like best (Russia and Croatia are not good enough IMHO). How the world has changed:eek:

Well Holland has it's back to the wall now. If Germany complies, Holland still has a shot though. I would like to know how the tie breaker works though. Because if Germany wins by 1 and Holland wins by 1, Denmark, Holland and Protugal are tied in points and goal differincial.

Think there is a lottery then where one team randomly advances.

Couldn't have hit that it a more perfect spot. Nothing the wall nor the keeper could do.

It looked like it was low enough for the wall to block it if they timed it right. The Croatian goalie seemed mad at them for letting it through.

Let's see how Torres does today, was hoping for Llorente to see some action.

Watch the replay. The wall jumped and stayed together well. It went right in between the heads of 2 players. Absolutely nothing they could do.

As horrible as he's been for a couple of years now, why does he keep getting chances? Does Spain really not have a better option?

LLorente played great in the qualification and for his club, I don't get why he doesn't play over Torres. Putting Fabregas at 9 last game was even more incredible, seems like coach doesn't trust his strikers at all.

He's just stronger than Pedro and Villa...well:(

I'm willing to give him a shot against Ireland though. We'll see.

BTW, Who is hot boxing the Stadium?

I'll never understand the reasoning behind the smoke bombs and throwing s*** on to the field. Why do people in the stands feel the need to affect the game like that?

I think Spain will slaughter Ireland today.
