Unless of course, as an Arsenal fan on another board stated, his girlfriend leaves the shower head on high pressure, and it fractured some of his ribs. If he's proven anything in his career, it's that he can't stay healthy.
Quarter Finals start today: 1:45 Roma v Man Utd (ESPN Live) 4:00 Schalke 04 v Barcelona (ESPN Classic Tape Delayed) Man-U's sizzling hot, hopefully a beatdown will ensue!! C. Ronaldo officially the best player in the world now? I hate giving that label b/c of the amount of talent out there, but Messi is injured, Ronaldinho is being a diva and hasn't been on form for almost 2 yrs now. I don't think anybody's playing at this guy's level right now, 35 overall goals and just looks like he's on a mission! Check this sweet goal out:
I tried to tell you this four months ago, and you told be I was crazy. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=133069&page=7&pp=20
Man U looks safe to advance now (barring a massive collapse)! Yeah he had slipped from when he first came on the scene but still produced last season (which is the point I was trying to make in the other thread), even though the magic was less evident. It's this season that the magic has completed evaporated. He needs a fresh start somewhere else where he will be more focused. I think he still has alot left, just needs to get right mentally and physically.
Liverpool looked a little lucky to get that PK so late. I thought they were crazy to not do a better job protecting the 2-1 lead. And sure, Ronaldo is awesome and having a terrific season, but Fernando Torres is no poor shakes himself. I can't fathom how poor their season would have been had they not signed him.
AN OWN GOAL? man i just can't catch a break. what a dissappointing domestic and european season for liverpool. and to cap it off against chelsea of all teams, wow heartbreaking. rafa benitez is as good as gone.
oh that sucked. Riise is as good as gone, but Rafa? Based on what? His EPL failures? His success in the CL is still pretty good. I'd be interested in what he does with Liverpool next season.
THAT IS PH*CK*D UP. That wasn't even worth a YELLOW CARD for Rafa Márquez?? No way. Now he misses the next game. BARCELONA 0 , MANCHESTER UNITED 0 at halftime.
He wouldn't have played in the next match with Puyol coming back And it was a yellow for his constant fouls on Ronaldo. That was the most frustrating match to watch from United all season. It was obvious we needed another CM in there to battle for position, but Fergie never made the change. We were MASSIVE defensively though, giving up that much position and not surrendering a goal is huge. Let's home Fergie gets it right at OT.
I think that startegy could backfire if they concede an away goal at Old Trafford we could be in trouble. DD
I think what was more obvious is that we need a striker, one that was fit since Rooney looked like he was still feeling effects from the hip injury at Blackburn. Also a striker over 5'11" would be nice, help hold the ball up top and give the rest of our lads time to breathe. Anyway, good result, lets hope we can hold them without a goal next week. GLORY GLORY MAN.UNITED
We've played with three CMs in every Champion's League match this season, and in all of the games against the Big 4 as well. I'd say it's worked out pretty well. Why Fergie went away from it tonight is tough to comprehend. I guess he wanted to attack and play them off the field, but it was clear we couldn't maintain position early and he never made a change. With Vidic unfit, I can see why he wanted to play Brown over Pique in such a huge match at CB, but we needed Hargreaves in midfield for this one, not at RB, that should have been O'Shea. You don't have to tell me about it, we've needed an out and out striker for the better part of two years. Saha could have been that guy, when he's healthy, he's the perfect striker for this team, unfortunately, he can't seem to take two steps without hurting his knee, ankle, hamstring etc. Rooney and Tevez are support strikers and are not capable of leading the line in a Champion's League semifinal. Ronaldo is wing forward, not a center foward as he was played today. He's much more dangerous when he starts at wide and can run at defenders and cut inside. It's clear that are one glaring weakness is an out and out striker and you can guarantee Fergie will spend big in the summer to bring one in. Benzema would be perfect, but I can't see Lyon letting him go quite yet.

I'm surprised we couldn't/didnt pry Berbatov from spurs in the winter transfer window but i'm sure he'll be on SAF's radar this summer. I would have to believe Berbatov, Benzema, Huntelaar and Amauri are high on his list.
