Tim, I just read that thread. I think you were fooled by Mr. Mooch. The picture he posted should be another member's, not himself's. I saw that pix before.
this is an incredibly nice gesture. i'm wishing i was a graphic designer myself. i've actually looked at the rockets site regularly to see what they're hiring as i'm such a fanatic i'd love to work for the rockets at nearly any capacity, but it so far you either have to speak mandarin or have some sort of skills or expertise! DAMN THE LUCK!
Actually the "Holy Grail" of Marketing is "...but still they buy it!" Even worse yet -- I bought lots more while I was there!
You need to come into the Hangout from time to time.. Mooch was posting a pic of our resident celebrityD) his pic has been photoshopped into so many pictures, he could be the next Where's Waldo. hmm..Where's YoYao?
The YoYao "phenomenon" is itself a marketing opportunity! I think YoYao deserves a bow at halftime. At least let him hand out the prizes for the contest. Maybe let him sit behind the bench when the Rox play the Clips. TV capture photchop opps! I think YoYao has already become an unofficial mascot of bbs-fandom.
Hi Tim, I'm a Mechanical designer, I know you are only looking for a Graphic designer, but i would love to work for the Rockets, so I'll send my resume to you anyway... Thanks, Vincent
Can I get a contract like Moochie's? Honestly, with the poor market, I'd be fine with a contract like Matt Maloney's.
Didn't ya'll learn your lesson with Kelvin Cato? You'll never get anywhere by paying for potential! I wonder if recruiting from the cc.net ranks is wise. You may gain an employee only to lose a fan.
All the YoYao photoshop geniuses are qualified to design the Rockets bobblehead dolls or celebriducks. Tim, does the team need a philosophy teacher? You know, to teach those guys some logical thinking skills on court.
Tim, does the team need a starting small forward? A buddy of mine, James, is thinking of taking a job in Memphis. He still has a few days to make up his mind. If you'd like, I could have him forward his resume.
I'll let my work do the talking.... YoYao Owned. Francis in the new uni's YoYao on the toilet. I'll do it but I won't come cheap. I require a 1 million dollar signing bonus and my own private jet.
Damn, I am stuck on contract work in Dallas for the next year!!! I am a Photoshop Master!!! I live in Photoshop & Illustrator at least 15 hours a day!! DAMN!!!!! DAMN!!!!!!! Tim, are you looking for an inside employee or free lance?
Well done Tim. This is a testimony to the good work Clutch, Jeff and co are doing. Please guys keep it up. Now I wish I did not go into Cisco. I should gone into Graphic Designing. Anyway I would have given Clutch 10% percent of my first month's income after tithe had it been I got this job. Oh well - all is well. Go Rockets!
Dr Mr. poster known as Tim, I am not that great of a Photoshop artist. Infact, I don't even own Adobe Photoshop. I had minimal experience with it my senior year in high school when I was in the TV Media Class. What I did on Adobe was I made a scoreboard/ticker kind of thing, and then I used Microsoft Powerpoint to aniamte it, and then recorded it on the tv from the computer. That may have been a run on sentence, but, I know my English Grammar. That is all of my photoshopping experience. Do the Rockets need a Camera Man? I can handle a camera. I got mad skills with the camera. Probably my favorite moment using the video camera at an athletic event, was this one Friday Night, under the lights at Pridgeon Stadium. It was the homecoming game, and we were playing Cy-Springs. My school was at the Goal Line, and the play was basically a sweep to the right. We were at the sidelines on the goal line, and Selvin Young, now at University of Texas, came to the right, and plowed two guys over and landed infront of us. We never moved, we stood there and we watched two Cy-Springs players at our feet. I go home to watch the tape, and I just flip out each time I watched it that night. Classic stuff. And yes, we did beat Cy-Springs. Are there only ten people on the roster? I think you guys may need a backup point guard. Here are my stats. I am Five Feet, Eight Inches, maybe Nine if I am wearing two socks. I weigh 130 lbs. I will make history in the NBA by being the first American Born Asian to play in the NBA, this giving the game a more diverse feel. I can dribble left or right handed. I can't shoot worth a darn. I am very streaky. I can guard bigger men in the post (sometimes) I will play for the league minimum, and I must have a two year, guranteed contract. I will need a no trade clause. My no trade clause is that I cannot, and will not be traded to New York, Toronto, New Jersey, Boston, Philly, DC, Detroit, I'll just say any City that requires you to wear Long Underwear under your basketball shorts. I am a traditional pass first, shoot fourth kind of point guard. I thank you Tim.
