Jeez, there are a lot of idiots posting in this thread...and I can judge intelligence since I went to Harvard :p

I almost hope the mods shut this thread down. Harking back to the OP though, if someone did say the Asian have small eyes so can't see how bad Lin is playing...that's imo, a comment worth some ban time because come on, that's a straight up racist comment. If I were to say a black equivalent of that, I'd be banned in a heartbeat.

How's he racist? Does he have to post a meme of a white person?

    Asian people are people too.

Everything is racist to LOF cause they can't win basketball arguments

You should know NY was ghetto as hell in the 80s and 90s. Crime was rampant and so was racism derived from personal experiences and misunderstandings from every side of the spectrum. You can't tell me you knew what it was like owning a bodega in New York back in the day. Just like bodega owners can't tell you what its like to walk in the shoes of "Blacks and Latinos".

My point is, NY isn't the dump it used to be 20-30 years ago and times have changed. Blacks, Asians, Latinos, Blue, Purple, Orange, whatever, don't hold that kind of animosity towards eachother previous generations may have. Come to NY in 2014 and tell me its not a completely different city now. People who have never come to NY might actually believe that BS you posted. Its simply not true. And I couldn't give two ****s about a Spike Lee movie from 20 years ago.

A Chinese fan of houston rockets since Yao time. Although Yao left, my love for rockets never changes. Most of the rockets fans here do not deem Lin as a star. In fact, he is just an ordinary player in NBA. Some of my friends even think he is not at the NBA level considering his poor physicality.

Of course we also get lots of Lin fans here because his Asian ancestry. Nevertheless, almost all fans here bash him hardly for his blunder in G4.

There are several factors contributing to our loss in G4: COACH INFLEXIBILITY, HARDEN AIR BALL, NO DEFENSE, BUT LIN'S MISTAKE ABSOLUTELY IS THE NO.1 REASON...

I ALMOST WISH I COULD SLAP ON HIS FACE FOR THAT STUPID MISTAKE.

I loved Yao and real Rockets fans like myself loved his heart. Lin is a charlatan and a fraud. Plain and simple. He deserves the animosity he gets.

The Lin fans pissed rockets fans off for ignoring that we are the ones with Yao Ming.
On top of that assuming Houston is not a diverse city.

What do you would happen Lin fans when Lin doesn't live up to your hype?

What do you think would happen when we say he's playing badly and you call it hate ?

Also, Lin fans have brought up what if Lin was black?

    That's racist

Why are people so shocked at the racism? Stop acting like you don't see it or feel it everyday, it is a shame but that's how it is

people let us talk purely hoop here instead of those nosensical so called racism. i do not think criticizing Lin has anything to do with racism. He made a serious mistake and that is why he deserves what he gets here. I think most rockets fans would blame any player as long as he made stupid mistakes and cost us the game, be it an Asia guy, white guy or African American guy. WE BLAME LIN NOT BECAUSE HE IS A ASIAN AMERICAN, BUT BECAUSE HE MADE A TERRIBLE MISTAKE WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED HAD HE PLAYED CAREFULLY. It is as simple as that, player made mistakes and fans need to gush their anger. That is it.

Why did you not report (and still have not reported) any of these posts?

I'll scan through this thread, but if someone can please point me to the comment saying "Lin's fans eyes are too small because they are Asian", I'd appreciate it.

OP is not wrong. I think it was Baqui that wanted Lin to walk into oncoming traffic on Westheimer.
LOL. It gave me a good laugh because of how ridiculous this was. I hate Lin as a player right now, nobody has pissed me off with their play more than Lin, but man I don't want him to die lol.

I'm not going to blame anyone though, I know the most out of anyone that when emotion and rage takes over we all say things we don't necessarily mean. Nobody here wants Lin to get killed, I guarantee that. In the heat of the moment though, some of us with lackluster composure will get a bit carried away.

Is this the comment? If so, I removed it and disciplined the user. There were zero comments agreeing with it... only these three replies:
