Let's see, I guess Yao sucking hard, Artest disappearing on offense, getting killed on the glass, piss poor D, and predictable offense--none of that had anything to do with the Rockets losing? TMac could've stuck with Roy, but the loss is on the entire team. And if Tmac had been on him you guys are acting like Roy was guaranteed to miss or something.

It's on the whole team, they didn't deserve to win. Period.

The team struggled no doubt, but they fought back hard, and had the game stolen from them due to poor time keeping.

They certainly could have played better, maybe they will learn a lesson from this and play hard more often, right now they coast too much.

    Lets see...

30 pts, 7 assists, 8 rebounds on almost 50 % shooting who has a bad knee and therefore is a step slow on defense trying to keep up with a speedy PG in Brandon Roy who hits a miracle shot.

Meanwhile Yao and Artest...nowhere to be found the entire game with no injuries or excuses.

You need to reexamine how you perceive basketball.

I hope you're right. They need to get their act together. Especially Yao.

Obama is the reason because the Team knows that they make more $250,000. Worried about their taxes.

It was the time keepers fault.

Dude, are you kidding me? Do you really think that McGrady would not have come out to guard Roy if the plan for the play was that simple? The Rockets were down by one point, so even a two would have beaten them. As such, they needed to do everything they could to keep the ball away from the basket. Had McGrady chased Roy outside to guard a 30-foot turnaround bomb, he would have left two Rockets (two of the smallest on the floor, as well: Alston and Landry) to protect the entirety of the inside of the three point arch.

Think, man. There's a reason McGrady pointed to Artest to pick him up. Artest (and everyone on the floor, really) needed to be more aware of where Roy was going.

    T-Mac choking in the clutch

Yao's lack of impact in the entire game.

    Aaron Brooks's lack of passing

    Stagnat Offense.

    Everybody's fault.

McGrady singlehandedly brought us back from 10 down in the fourth. I think he scored 9 straight points during a stretch.

how about Scola too? I remember him being burned over and over and over on D. Just one of those defensive assignments would have won it for us.

Yes I totally agree with you. That is the primary reason I started this thread (with sarcasm), immediately following the loss I see over 10 different threads pop up pointing the blame on one individual or another. The excuses I see are more ridiculous then the next one. It is plain and simple basketball is a TEAM sport. You win as a team and lose as a team. I find it very ironic if Roy would have missed that shot, Yao would of been praised as a hero but since that shot went in, Yao is now considered as the reason we lost the game. Ridiculous....

I can't believe Tracy's even getting blamed for this loss. Umm we shoudn't of been in the situation in the first place. I guess we shall keep ignoring him EVEN BRINGING US BACK IN THE GAME. T-mac is injured, he shoudln't of been on roy in the first place. And our "MVP", scored 13 points. Sure he hit a clutch shot but you want ot be the "MVP" you don't score 13 points. Ridiculous

    I can't stand ignorance.

If you blamed a single individual you are a idiot plain and simple

If you blamed a coach or the entire team your on track

    Blaming Tracy is just stupid
Blaming Yao cause of rebounding?? Yeh, we really have others who would came out better at there size

    Simply put position was wrong

If you put your blame before that being we should have been up by more then it shows how bad our chemistry really is and everyone talking trade (including me) are just messing it up more. Its evident out stars are still learning how to play together. It is also evident 2 of our stars are still hurting. Not to mention we are short by our best defensive player.

I blame us for having no patience. For bad talking our own team. Sadness.

if you are into scapegoating, then you have your pick.
yao had a horrifically off night. tmac didn't stay on roy on that last play.
and then there was the home town time keeper who started the clock a bit late.

i blame the loss on battier, who would have created at least one more defensive stop before the end of that game. (not to mention he would have been the one on roy for the last shot).

    come back soon batman.

You guys that fail to blame the individual responsible for blowing that defensive assignment are 100% wrong.

Tmac played great, but on that ONE play that decided the game....he screwed the pooch.

If he covers Roy, the team wins...fairly simple.

The rest about the team playing like crap etc...does not take into account there is another team playing trying to force them to play like crap.

They played a tough game, and it came down to one possession, Tmac guards Roy, the team wins....TMac points at him and lets him shoot an uncontested shot...the team loses...well...the team lost.

So, simply putting a hand in the guy's face will result in a missed shot. Riiiiiight.

-- Signed Tracy McGrady, Kevin Garnett, Reggie Miller, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Ray Allen, LaMarcus Aldridge, Peja Stojakovic, and any other person who has ever played the game of basketball and drilled a jumper with a hand in his face.

From the posts and reactions to the blazer lost it's obvious some fans only care about TMac's performance not this team win or lose.
