You cant just blame TMAC for Roy's lucky shot , you cant just blame Yao for his bad performance either 'cuz the whole team played an ugly game. It's not someone's fault but the whole team's that leads to another lose. Just think about that, if the whole team played in average, Rox should won the game without OTs at all. BTW, TMAC did all he could this game, the only thing for him to do right now is just have a rest and keep health.
So if we pick someone to pin this loss on can we feel better about our lack of sleep...... Roy hit a miracle shot, Rockets fought hard but there are defensive and rebounding issues. No point in belaboring this game, time to look forward to the game vs. the clips.
roy's last shot is almost completely by luck. If it weren't for Yao's 3 point play, they won't even need that last possession to win. and 51 idiots blamed it on Yao?
Everyone calling Roy's shot luck are just not looking at it...it was not luck...it might be lower percentage, but without someone guarding him, he can make that shot a decent percentage of the time. Luck is bouncing it off the backboard...that shot was pure money. NBA players can shoot 30 footers, they are strong enough and big enough.....especially when no one is guarding them. DD
I voted the team because getting outrebounded like we did (49-36 or something like that) is what ultimately cost us this game. However, in the link that BrooksBall posted from John Hollinger's article, I found this little nugget: It appeared he had some favorable timekeeping as well, as the clock seemed to start late. Though he had only 0.8 seconds left to shoot, our analysis with replay and a stopwatch indicated that it took him 1.6 seconds to catch the ball, gather it, turn and release the game-winner, and that nearly two seconds passed between the time he caught the ball and the time the buzzer went off. Perhaps this is all considered normal -- there's bound to be a lag time before the clock operator triggers the start -- but as long-time Portland columnist Dwight Jaynes told me after the game, "I want that guy to time the rest of my life." http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/dailydime?page=dime-081107 The first thing I thought to myself when I saw that live was "That sure was a long 0.8 seconds" and there was also at least one case near the end of the game where the announcers pointed out that the clock wasn't starting when it was supposed to. But when Salvatore was reviewing it, I also knew there was no way in hell he was going to overturn that shot - maybe, if the game was in Houston but not with it being made by the home team. I almost wonder if the Rockets can file a protest with the league over the poor clock keeping at the end or is it even worth it?
I can;t see how people can even blame T-Mac on this one. yeah he may have let Roy taken that shot, but if it werent for him we wouldn't even have been in this game. I blame our Defense, I dont know what's happen to it. Yao looks like Yao from three years ago. I dont know whats going on with him.
man go get a life!! Rockets wouldnt be in the game if it were not for T-mac. stop blaming him and open your eyes.
stop the bleeding on tmac.... go get a life. watch the game fully next time before you come with your arrogance. read this..... maybe for you read this 50 times, so it can get in your head "We Would Not Have Been In The Game If It Were Not For Tracy McGrady." are you even serious about this?
+1 to that. That time keeper was absolutely horrible. And somehow it only took Yao 1.1 seconds for his shot. Someone needs to get a timer on that too.
This is NOT heart breaking lost by any stretch. It's just the 5th game of the season. I'm glad I got to see a special game. How many endings in games like that do you get to see? Clutch shot after clutch shot. Doesn't happen every time folks. This team has always started slow and picks it up incredibly as the season progresses. I'm not worried one bit. What a freaking game though!
LOL, who the hell are the 10% of fans that are blaming this on McGrady? (More than that, actually, if you take out the 20% of jokers that voted for Obama.) Does antisonic have 25 alts or something?
It is TMAC's fault. He plays bad, we lose. He plays well, we lose. He can help to catch up from behind but he does not how to keep the lead.
