Ok, a snapshot of effieciency that I agree is interesting, but it also lacks any sort of relevancy. How can you judge the "quality of play versus the quality of a player"? Wouldn't that premise be unable to determine whether the defensive repsonsibilities of Dream vs. those of Yao had any impact on their offensive output and efficiency? Can you determine the exact number of times this season the ball was thrown into the post to Yao and resulted in a turnover (no matter who's fault) versus the amount of times Dream had the ball and a turnover resulted? Of course not. Can you quantifiably value the scrubs Yao played with for almost half a season that led coaches to live with him getting an easy 20 points in the 1st half versus the team Dream played with that had coaches determined to never let him go off offensively? No. But stats don't lie (except to Mark Twain and the eyes of beholders), so at age 25 Yao is offensively more efficient given the criteria you've mentioned. But it's still very funny.
Yeah RocketForever, what were you THINKING? Like OMG Yao's dad's name is sooo not George MING, come on - i expect better from a vet like you --- well, you can't win them all, especially when you're scrutinized by a genious like einstein
Ill rise your Feitl, Leavell, Minnifield and Wood with Richard Anderson, Lester Conner, Andre Turner and Buck Johnson. I win.
Dont get me wrong I like yao, and ready to see what him and t-mac do next year, but anyone comparing YAO to HAKEEM now, should apologize. Apparently u new nothing of "THE DREAM" This dude averaged 4 1/2 blocks and intimated twice as much and average 2 steals while still putting up 20+ points and 11 dats just crazy. Hakeem almost had 2 quadruple-doubles in the same month and missed the secong one by 1 assist in his 5th year. Hakeem in his early years was a beast he calmed down in the 90's If you are comparing yao jumps in stats: Hakeem 20+/12/2.6 blocks as a rookie how much more could he improved statistically
