That is great! I am, happy to see I was not the only one contributing. You make it seem like your candidate showed up in an old suit with no money. Gore raised $138 million. Do you have a problem with that? You are playing into stereotypes that the Reps are the only ones spending True the committee will go with the individual who is popular, but if the person that is "most" popular has a platform that is unsatisfactory, they will not give the money. There are many many people like myself who are willing to give money to a party or individual who represents what we feel is the closest to our own views. I do not believe 100% in everything that the party does but I believe in more of what they do and have done than I do for any other. I will not speak for you, but for me its just like religion. I do not back 100% of what my religion says and does (to them I will likely end up in hell), but its the religion closest to what I believe. Damn, I was wondering why W was not taking my phone calls, thanks fopr clearing that up for me. Did you contribute to your party? If so Do or did you have direct access to your candidate? Will you give more next time or are you pissed about the accessibility factor? ...And this is only a problem in one party? Are others not guilty of the same? Oh, let me guess, the others are doing it just to keep up with what the Reps are doing. Is that it???? You are right, its "the system" not the Reps.
I voted "other" in the poll. However, I can't think of anyone right now that I would prefer. The people mentioned don't excite me. Perhaps an "unknown" will pop up and run a strong race. Man, I hope so. What really gets me is the free pass Bush has gotten regarding his record as governor of Texas. The guy gets a billion dollar tax cut through that the average Texan doesn't see so he could use it to run for President. Now the state is in a huge budget crisis, largely a result of Bush's policies as governor, and apparently no one knows about it. And he's doing the same thing on a grand scale to the country. Great.
