I'd go with this too, but because I love the 3 ball and we aren't very good shooting it, I'd keep Daniels on standby.
Garcia & D-Mo, though D-Mo must prove he can defend or else just the small ball line-up with Parsons at PF. I'd keep both Daniels and Canaan as back-ups in case Lin and Garcia / Parsons stink up the place.
Hell no Scrubby ass Cassppii!!! Leave him on the bench, I rather play Covington or Daniels over his sorry ass!
Vs. Portland I think D-Mo can serve a great purpose as Howard/Asik will have to guard LMA, and you really need someone that can put a body on Lopez to prevent those important offensive rebounds that Portland has killed the Rockets with this year. If McHale is going to have a quick trigger finger on small ball, I think he needs to be prepared to go full blown small ball with Harden at the 4. Portland goes small very well and is an elite 3 point shooting team. If you are fighting fire with fire, you better be ready to go in with a flame torch rather than a pocket lighter. Much of playoff rotations comes down to strategy, and less about who is more deserving than who. By all accounts Lin doesn't really even "deserve" to be in the playoff rotation, but he's a necessary evil(as a player) as he showed last night when he can totally win you a game almost single handily. They are going to need him to go anywhere. Casspi, Garcia, Hamilton??.... I think all 3 guys will have their chance at some light PT, but however much they get soley depends on how they shoot & defend. PG: Bev, Lin SG: Harden, Lin SF: Parsons PF: Jones, D-Mo, Parsons, Harden C: Howard, Asik That rotation is pretty much a lock, but you could see some Garcia, Hamilton, and even Daniels sprinkled in from time to time if the team is struggling. However, if all is going well, and the Rockets are doing what they hope to, This SHOULD BE the 8 man rotation the Rockets want to use.
D-Mo proves that he can defend almost every game (except for a few boneheaded plays like the steal attempts yesterday). Very aware on rotations and he always boxes out, that's why he should play in the playoffs. There's a reason he has the best DefRtg of all the regular rotation players.
Covington > Daniels > Hamilton No love for Rob? Offensively&defensively he's far ahead of this two, Daniels just shoots 3 pointers better than Rob by 3%.
Lin's spot is far from guaranteed...he should be lumped in with the rest of the scrubs fighting for a spot.
Garcia and DMo as part of the regular rotation. Others as needed for special situation. With his shooting ability and what we saw as the smallest of small lineup in the last game, Daniels as x of x factor.
I think Hamilton will be better for the Portland matchup, but if Garcia shows that he red-hot, go with him.
