I say give Yates a shot. It's not going to be pretty though.

This sucks. Leinart didn't seem that bad - it seemed like he coulda game managed us to 4-2 or 5-1. Now? Who knows...

I mean . .. bring in someone else

I would try to bring in an experienced QB, I don't think Warner or Farve are options, their not coming back. BUT, if Warner wants another go, give it to him.

    Agreed.
    Good decision maker
    can make all the throws
    and
he won't be asked to near as much as he has been in the past

    Warner > Farve
    for me

this is so ridiculous, it's comical. You lose your qb and your second qb all while losing your best defensive player and your best offensive player for 6 games. For the atlanta game, you really have no choice but to start Yates. Even if you bring in another vet, how much will they have learned in a couple of days?

Yates looked decent during that 2 min drill.

Then Kubiak took it out of his hands.

Let's see what this kid has.

Warner would be amazing, but I can't see the guy coming back. I can only hope that somehow materializes.

Gunslinger: he might be an egomaniac and a jerk, but the Texans are not in a position to be picky.

And, not that this part really matters, but ESPN would pop a boner so large that it would cause the moon to leave orbit.

Leinart goes down with a collarbone injury, and Warner steps in for the remainder of the season. Sounds very familiar...

I'd stick with Yates instead of Clemens or another vet QB. Let's see what the kid has got.

I want to give Yates a shot after he practices with the 1st team.

We know Clemens sucks. Maybe Yates has something.

Question: Why was OD listed as the emergency QB? Any ever see him throw?
