I root for teams to lose.

    Lose Lakers!
    Lose Suns!

    You both suck!

I will root for the Nets in the East because that's where I want Kidd to stay.

West? Whomever beats the Lakers. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Hopefully the Kings (fun to watch). Kings over Nets is too predictable, but I can't watch Dallas win, justifying Cuban's largesse and his team's newfound arrogance. Finley has made it a point to lord it over the Rockets (off-season remarks that Yao would suck; dunking over Yao and screaming in his mug as if he had just completed his life's ambition). So I wouldn't mind watching Finley lose.

    Childish, hunh?

Lakers - I always root for the reigning champion if the Rockets can't beat them.

(Only exception being if they're the Spurs or Mavs)

    Despite their fans, the Spurs.

But, I also root for the teams that play the Lakers or Mavs.

i seriously don't understand people that root for the lakers if they have no roots in los angeles. the lakers are disgusting. they've sunken to the level of the jazz.

ANYBODY but the lakers or jazz. ANYBODY. once those two are out, i can sit back and enjoy the playoffs, because i know a team i hate won't win it.

but, i will be rooting for sacramento.

JAZZ!!!!! Not that they have a chance. Stockton and Malone deserve a championship more than anyone else in the league.

The Pistons are probably my favorite team in the east.

Basically, I just want someone besides the Lakers to win.

    Spurs.

I sure wish Tim Duncan would just call up the Rockets and offer to sign for the MLE.

Seeing as how I was a Spurs beat writer this year, I got to see them up close and personal and somehow became a fan.

Gotta hope a Texan team represents us well atleast. No more California teams to win from here on out. That's why I was so pleased to see Tampa Bay win it all. Aside from Hockey all of the major sports in the U.S would of been owned by the Cali teams. It's time for Texas to claim hold and grab all four major championship trophies, so either the Spurs or the Mavs. Mavs preferably just because I still want the Rockets to be the only team with two rings, but I wouldn't mind seeing the Spurs win it all either. The players are a class act, and they have all the right tools to beat any team out there.

Yeah, I should probably keep that to myself. Every time I tell someone that they call me Benedict Arnold. :(

(especially long term friends who remember how I used to badmouth the Spurs like no one else back in the early 90s)
